ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ասել է, որ երկուշաբթի օրը կհանդիպի Կալիֆոռնիայում արտակարգ իրավիճակների ծառայությունների ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Այս մասին հայտնում է Ամերիկայի Ձայնը։

Աննախադեպ հրդեհներն արդեն այրել են ավելի քան 2 միլիոն հեկտար հողատարածք:

Անտառային հրդեհների հետևանքով Կալիֆոռնիա, Օրեգոն և Վաշինգտոն նահանգներում արդեն 31 մարդ է զոհվել, սակայն պետական մարմինները զգուշացրել են, որ զոհերի թիվը կմեծանա:

Նախագահ Թրամփը հաճախ չի անդրադարձել անտառային հրդեհներին, սակայն շաբաթ օրը Նևադայում ընտրարշավի ժամանակ նա խոսել է դրանց մեծ ծավալի մասին:

«Նրանք նման բանի երբեք չեն հանդիպել։ Խնդրում եմ հիշեք այս կարճ բառերը՝ անտառային կառավարում»,-ասել է Թրամփը:

ԱՄՆ-ի դեմոկրատների նախագահի թեկնածու Ջո Բայդենը նույնպես խոսել է հրդեհների մասին՝ դրանք կապելով կլիմայի փոփոխության հետ, «որը մեր ապրելակերպին մոտալուտ և հիմնարար սպառնալիք է ներկայացնում»:
