Confict Intelligence Team-ի ներկայացուցիչները հետաքննություն են անցկացրել եւ հաստատել սիրիացի վարձկանների մասնակցությունը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ընթացող պատերազմին, չնայած նրան, որ ադրբեջանական ու թուրքական կողմերը պաշտոնապես հերքում էին այն:

Հիմնական տեսանյութում, որը հրապարակված է սոցիալական ցանցում, երևում է, որ սիրիացիները մասնակցում են ամենաքիչը գոնե հարավային ուղղությամբ մարտերին, որտեղ վերջին օրերին ծանր մարտեր էին ընթանում՝ Հադրութի համար: Ամենաքիչը հենց այդ հատվածում երևում են ադրբեջանական սահմանապահների հագուստով սիրիացիներ: Այդ տեսանյութում սիրիացիները խոսում են արաբերեն:

Մյուս տեսանյութում, որը ևս նկարահանված է Իրանի հետ սահմանային հատվածում, սիրիացին կրկին ադրբեջանական սահմանապահի հագուստով խոսում է արաբերեն եւ նկարահանում էր հայկական խրամատը:

Հետաքննող Ելիզավետա Ցուրկովան ընդգծում է, որ Սիրիայում իննը տարվա կոնֆլիկտի ժամանակ հասակ են առել այնպիսի տղամադրիկ, որոնք չունեն ուրիշ որեւէ հմտություն, բացի ռազմականից եւ նույնիսկ դժվարությամբ են կարդում եւ գրում: The Guardian-ի հրապարակումների համաձայն, թուրքական խմբավորումների շարքային անձինք ստանում են  ամսական 450-500 թուրքական լիր: Ինչպես գրում է Ցուրկովան, արդեն օգոստոսի սկզբին միջնորդներ էին հայտնվել, որոնք վարձկաններին տեղափոխում էին Ղարաբաղ: Լրատվամիջողը սեպտեմբերի 13-ը եւ 18-ն էր համարում կոնկրետ օր, երբ պայմանագիր է կնքվել, իսկ արդեն այդ ամսվա կեսին նրանք տեղում են եղել:

Հաշվի առնելով եւ համադրելով այդ բոլոր փաստերը, կարելի է վստահաբար ասել, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ներկայումս ընթացող պատերազմին թուրք-ադրբեջանական ուժերը նախապես էին պատրաստվել եւ սա ամենեւին էլ պատահական պատերազմ չէր:
