«Լինեմ անկեղծ. Աշոտի Արցախ առաջնագիծ մեկնելու փաստը ամենահուզականը և ամենադժվարը ես ընդունեցի: Նույնիսկ չէի կարողանում ընկալել, թե ինչպես կարող եմ բաց թողնել եղբորս` իմ սրտի ամենակարևոր մասնիկին, բաց թողնել մի տեղ, որտեղից նա կարող էր երբեք չվերադառնալ: Չէի կարողանում ինձ մեջ ընդունել, ընկալել, հասկանալ: Բայց նաև սառնասրտորեն ընդունեցի, որ մեծ գործ ունեմ անելու, նախ առաջինը ինքս իմ մեջ, ինքս ինձ հետ: Հիշեցի, որ վայրը` որտեղ նա մեկնում է, ինձ համար աշխարհի ամենաթանկ անկյունն է` Արցախը: Հինգ տարեկանից բավարար ժամանակ էի անցկացրել Արցախում և հասցրել էի հասկանալ Արցախը՝ որպես մեր ամենաթանկ արժեք: Ու կյանքիս ամենադժվար րոպեներից, ժամերից ու օրերից հետո, վերջապես ինքս ինձ մեջ բաց թողեցի եղբորս` հանուն Արցախի, և ներդաշնակություն գտա այն բոլոր հավանական սցենարների հետ, որ կարող էին կատարվել:
Այսօր տեսնում եմ մարդկանց, ովքեր առանց որևէ դժվար որոշում կայացնելու, առանց իրենց սիրելիին հայրենիքին զիջելու պատրաստակամությամբ խոսում են թե ինչքան են սիրում Արցախը, ու թե ինչքան տառապած ու տանջված են իրենք այսօր: Իհարկե, ես հավատում եմ այն անկեղծ սիրուն, որն իրենք տածում են դեպի Արցախը, դեպի մեր հայրենիքը, բայց սերը, ցանկացած սեր (սեր երեխայի, ամուսնու, քաղաքի, երկրի նկատմամբ), աննկարագրելի մեծ աշխատանք է պահանջում: Այդ աշխատանքը միայն խոսք չէ, բանաստեղծություն, կտավ կամ նկար չէ: Այդ աշխատանքը ազնվություն է, անկաշառություն է, պատրաստակամություն է, հոգատարություն է, արդարություն է, հանդուրժողականություն է, կարգապահություն է, անվախություն է, օրինապահություն է, վերջ ի վերջո զոհաբերություն է:
Սա տառապանք չէ՛, սա տանջանք չէ՛:
Մեր երազանքները ոչինչ չի կոտրել:
Սա մի նո՛ր հնարավորություն է, մեր մեջ ցավոտ աշխատանք տանելու, սովորելու, վերլուծելու, հասկանալու իսկ հետո գործելու, գործել այնպես ինչպես երբեք:
Մենք վերգտնելու ենք մեր միասնակնությունը ու վճռականությունը:
Բոլորս էլ գիտակցում ենք, որ վաղվանից դժվար ու ծանր աշխատանք ենք սկսելու, որ վերջապես հասնենք նրան, ինչի մասին որ երազում ենք: Ու ես վստահ եմ, մի գրամ էլ չեմ կասկածում որ մենք հասնելու ենք այդ անիրական թվացող երազանքին:
