Բերանի տհաճ հոտը այնքան տարածված է, որ այն նույնիսկ հատուկ անուն է ստացել՝ հալիտոզ: Տարբեր ուսումնասիրությունների համաձայն, այս խնդրով տառապում է մոլորակի բնակչության յուրաքանչյուր 4-րդ մարդը: Այս խնդրի հիմնական բարդությունը նրանում է, որ մարդը ինքը չի կարող իմանալ հոտի առկայությունը, քանի որ քթի ռեցեպտորները անընդհատ արտաշնչում են այն հոտը, որ կա բերանի խոռոչում և ժամանակի ընթացքում հոտառությունը չի կարողանում տարբերակել արդյոք դա տհաճ հոտ է, թե ոչ: Եվ առհասարակ հոտ կա, թե ոչ: Դա անհնար է պարզել, եթե չհարցնեք ձեր կողքիններին, սակայն կա ևս մեկ միջոց՝ թուքը: Եթե ցանկանում եք պարզել արդյոք տհաճ հոտ կա, թե ոչ թքով պատեք գդալը, թողեք, որպեսզի այն չորանա այնուհետև հոտ քաշեք: Բերանից տհաճ հոտի առկայությունը, իհարկ,ե առաջին հերթին կարող է կապված լինել հիգիենայի բացակայության հետ, սակայն եթե դուքօրը երկու անգամ լվանում եք ատամները, սակայն հոտը դեռ կա՝ դա նշանակում է, որ կան որոշակի առողջական խնդիրներ կամ դուք ճիշտ չեք հետևում բերանի խոռոչին:
Բերանի տհաճ հոտի պատճառներըՍխալ հիգիենա: Առաջին ու ամենաակնհայտ պատճառն իհարկե բերանի խոռոչի սխալ հիգիենան է: Ոչ միայն ատամները, այլ ամբողջ բերանի խոռոչն է հարկավոր լվանալ: Բերանի տհաճ հոտը առաջին հերթին բերանի խոռոչում կուտակված բակտերիաներն են: Դրանք վերացնելու համար հարկավոր է լվանալ ոչ միայն ատամները այլ նաև լեզուն:
Թքարտադրության խնդիր: Տարածված պատճառներից մեկը թքարտադրությունն է, որը հաճախ խանգարվում է: Թուքը կուլ տալով մենք վերացնում ենք բերանի խոռոչից բազմաթիվ բակտերիաներ, եթե թքարտադրության խնդիր կա դրանք մնում են բերանում և արդյունքում տհաճ հոտ է լինում: Թքարտադրության կամ բերանի խոռոչի չորացման խնդիրը կոչվում է կսերոստոմիա: Եթե նման խնդիր ունեք բերանի խոռոչում թուք քիչ է արտադրվում: Դրա պատճառները տարբեր են. Կան որոշակի դեղամիջոցներ, որոնց կողմնակի ազդեցության արդյունքում թքարտադրությունը կանոնավոր չի կատարվում: Դա կարող է առաջանալ նաև տարիքի հետ՝ մեծահասակների մոտ հնարավոր է թքագեղձերի խնդիրներ:
Լինդերի հիվանդություններ: Բերանի տհաճ հոտի հաջորդ պատճառը լինդերն են: Սա երկրորդ ամենատարածված պատճառն է, որը կարող է հանգեցնել բերանի խոռոչի տհաճ բուրմունքին: Լինդերի այդ հիվանդությունը կոչվում է պարոդոնտոզ, որը շատ արագ ցանկացած ատամնաբույժ կախտորոշի:
Շնչառական համակարգի հիվանդություններ: Շնչուղիների կամ շնչառական համակարգի այլ հիվանդությունների դեպքում քթային մասից որոշակի լեղիներ տեղափոխվում են բերանի խոռոչ, ինչն էլ արդյունքում հանգեցնում է տհաճ հոտի: Օրինակ, սինուսիտ հիվանդության դեպքում, մարդը անընդհատ շնչում է բերանով, քանի որ քիթը փակ է: Արդյունքում քթային մասից լեղին կուտակվում է բերանային մասում:
Մարսողական համակարգի խնդիրներ: Եթե ձեր ստամոքսում թթվայնությունը բարձր է կամ լավ չեք մարսում սնունդը դա կարող է հանգեցնել բերանի տհաճ հոտի:
