44-օրյա պատերազմից ու խայտառակ կապիտուլյացիայից հետո երեկ առաջին անգամ հանրության առջև է երևացել պատերազմական ստի ու խաբեության հիմնական խորհրդանիշը՝ Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը, ում հանդգնությանն ու բարոյականության հետ ունեցած կոնֆլիկտի մասշտաբներին պետք է արժանին մատուցել։ Արծրունը, ինչպես և պետք էր սպասել, փորձել է արդարանալ, մոտավորապես այնպես, ինչպես Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն էր արդարանում Շուշին ադրբեջանական ներկայացնող իր հայտարարության առիթով․ Փաշինյանի հանգույն նրա քարոզչամարտիկ Արծրունը կառչել է բառերից՝ հայտարարել է, թե ինքն ասել է ոչ թե՝ «հաղթում ենք», այլ՝ «հաղթելու ենք», և այդպես շարունակ։

Բայց Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանի հայտնության իրական նպատակն այլ էր, նա տողատակում հայտարարել է, թե ինքն ամեն օր ասում էր այն, ինչ իրեն փոխանցում էին բանակային ստորաբաժանումներից։ Ասել է թե՝ հանրությանը խաբել է ոչ թե Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանն ու նրա անմիջական ղեկավարությունը՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի գլխավորությամբ, այլ բանակը, բանակի ղեկավարությունը։

Այսպիսով, պարտությունը բանակի վրա բարդելու փաշինյանական՝ ավելի վաղ ակնարկներով սկսված քաղաքականությունն ավելի առարկայական դրսևորումներ է ստանում։

Արծրունի հայտնությանը զուգահեռ՝ ձերբակալվում է բանակին զենքի հիմնական մատակարարներից մեկը՝ Պատրոն Դավո մականունով Դավիթ Գալստյանը, ում հետ մինչև տակավին վերջերս այդքան հաճույքով լուսանկարվում էր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը։

Այն, որ սույն պերսոնաժը տարիներ շարունակ խիստ կասկածելի ու կոռուպցիոն գործարքներ է իրականացրել բանակի հետ ու բանակի հաշվին, հայտնի էր վաղուց։ Ինչպես որ հասկանալի էր, որ առանց երկրի ամենաբարձր ղեկավարության գիտության ու մասնակցության՝ հնարավոր չէր նման գործարքների իրականացումը։ Այդ առումով, Պատրոն Դավոյի ձերբակալությունը խիստ ռիսկային է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի համար, քանի որ նա կարող է խոսել ու տալ անուններ՝ սկսած բանակի բարձր ղեկավարությունից՝ մինչև գերագույն հրամանատար։

Այդուհանդերձ, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը որոշել է գնալ վա բանկ և պատերազմի մեղավորությունից մաքրվելու իր նպատակն ավելի բարձր է դասել, քան Դավիթներից որևէ մեկի խոսելու ռիսկը։

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն այսպիսով սկսել է պարտության մեղավորների նշանակման ու սեփական մեղավորության մաքրման օպերացիան՝ դրանում օգտագործելով նաև այն ֆիգուրանտներին, ովքեր գործուն մասնակցություն են ունեցել պատերազմում կրած պարտության հարցում։ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հայտարարել է, որ ինքը թիվ մեկ պատասխանատուն է, բայց թիվ մեկ մեղավորը չէ։ Պատասխանատվություն ասելով՝ նա հասկանում է ոչ թե՝ քրեաիրավական, որքան՝ քաղաքական պատասխանատվությունը, որի հարցը փորձելու է լուծել արտահերթ ընտրությունների ֆարսով։

Ինչ վերաբերում է թիվ մեկ մեղավորին, ապա նրա անունը հայտնի կդառնա մեղավորների նշանակման փաշինյանական գործընթացի ավարտին, երբ ինքը լուծած կլինի սեփական պատասխանատվության հարցը՝ քրեաիրավականը բարդելով բոլոր նրանց վրա, ում ներկայությամբ նրա սելֆիները ժամանակին այդքան դիտարժան էին ստացվում։
