 Հանրային խորհրդի նախագահ Ստյոպա Սաֆարյանը մտահոգված է երկրում ստեղծված իրավիճակով, քանի որ կարծում է, որ այս ամենը է՛լ ավելի կարող են խորացնել ճգնաժամը: Նրա դիտարկմամաբ վերջին շրջանում երկրում կայունացման ծիլեր էին սկսել երևալ, որը, ըստ նրա, հավանաբար, դուր չի գալիս որոշ շրջանաների: «Ի սկզբանե ես հայտարարել եմ, որ պետք է պատերազմի պատճառահետևանքային բոլոր դրվագները բացահայտել, որպեսզի մենք կարողանանք մտածել ապագայի մասին: Առանց դրա պատերազմի ժամանակ տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունների մասին կասկածները կրծելու է մեր երկիրը»,- Orer.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց Ս. Սաֆարյանը:

Խոսելով ԳՇ-ի հայտարարության մասին նա նշեց, որ իր կարծիքով այստեղ ևս հաշվարկ կա, որը պետք չէ անտեսել: Եվ, չնայած հեղափոխությունը բանակ չէր մտել, բայց այնտեղ ինչ-որ բան վաղուց եռում էր, նշեց հասաակական-քաղաքական գործիչը: «Այն ինչ եղել է բանակնում, դա մեկ հոգու կողմից արված բան չէ: Դա ցանց է և ես տեսնում եմ, որ բանակում կային մարդիկ, որոնց որոշ գործեր չէին շրջանցելու: Լիներ դա պատերազմի հետաքննության, Ջաբրաիլում տեղի ունեցած առեղձվածային իրադարձություններ, լիներ Հադրութ կամ Շուշի, տեսանելի էր որ հետազոտությունների արդյուքնում շատ անուններ կլսեինք: Դա այսբերգի վերևի հատվածն էր, որը տեսանելի էր մեզ և, կարծում եմ, ավելի տեսանելի էր այլոց:

Բացի այդ, կարծում եմ, որ այդ ամենը տանելու էր նաև դեպի նախկին նախագահներ: Եվ այս տեսանկյունից, զարմանալի է, երբ նախկինում ԱԱԾ, պաշտպանության նախարար, երկրի նախագահ աշխատած անձը իր հարցազրույցի ժամանակ ռազմական գաղտնիք է հրապարակում: Ես ենթադրում էի, որ ռուսական կողմը այդ հայտարարությունը կհերքի, քանի որ լավ գիտի, թե ինչն-ինչոց է»,- ասաց Ս.Սաֆարյանը:
