 Այն ինչ այսօր տեղի է ունենում Հայաստանում, «Կովկասի» ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Ալեքսանդր Իսկանդարյանի կարծիքով՝ էլիտաների պայքարն է, որոնք հեղափոխությունից հետո սկսեցին ներքին պայքարը, իսկ հիմա որոշել են ակնհայտ պայքար մղել միմյանց դեմ: «Դա բնական պրոցես է, քանի որ հեղափոխության միջոցով իշխանության եկած ուժերի և նախկին ուժերի միջև պայքարը, սովորաբար, շարունակություն է ունենում:

Ինչ վերաբերում է երկրի անվտանգային հարցերով զբաղվող ուժերի նեսում տեղի ունեցող պրոցեսներին, ապա այդ ոլորտներում մինչ այս հակասությունները ջրի երես դուրս չեն եկել, չնայած, որ այդ ամենը նույնիսկ անզեն աչքով էր երևում: Այսինքն ներքին պայքար թեև կար, բայց, այնուամենայնիվ, ներքին հակասությունները արտաքին աշխարհ դուրս չէին գալիս: Պատերազմը, բնականաբար, սրեց այդ հակասությունը և ավելի ակնհայտ դարձավ, որ զինվորականները իշխանությունների հանդեպ բավական ինքնատիպ մոտեցում ունեն:

«Միմյանց հասցեին հնչեցված մեղադրանքները որևէ կապ չունեին ո՛չ ռուսական զենքի տեխնիկական, որակական և այլ հարցերի հետ, ո՛չ էլ ռազմավարական փոխհարաբերությունների հետ: Դա ընդամենը քաղաքական բանավեճ էր, որը նաև ձգան դարձավ, բանակին այդ բանավեճի մեջ ներքաշելու համար: Սակայն, մենք դեռ գտնվում ենք իրադարձությունների կիզակետում և պարզ է, որ այս ընթացքում իրավիճակն է՛լ ավելի չսրելու և լիցքաթափելու համար բարդ բանակցություններ են ընթանում:

Այնուամենայնիվ, այն ինչ տեղի է ունենում կանխատեսելի էր և կարող է ավելի խորանալ ներգրավելով այլ ոլորտներ ևս, քանի որ մենք, ցավոք հիմա գտնվում ենք 2016-17 թվականների իրավիճակում, երբ թուլացած էր թե՛ իշխանությունը, թե՛ ընդդիմությունը»,- ասաց Ա. Իսկանդարյանը:
