Հնդկաստանը ծրագրում է 30 մարտական անօդաչու թռչող սարք գնել ԱՄՆ-ից՝ իր ռազմածովային եւ ցամաքային պաշտպանությունն ուժեղացնելու համար, հայտնում է Bloomberg-ը՝ վկայակոչելով աղբյուրներին:

Երկիրը հավանություն կտա 3 միլիարդ դոլարով General Mom-Atomics ընկերության արտադրած MQ-9B Predator անօդաչու 30 ինքնաթիռների գնմանը: Գործարքը կընդլայնի Հնդկաստանի ռազմական հնարավորությունները, քանի որ նրա ունեցած դրոնները կարող են օգտագործվել միայն հսկողության ու հետախուզման համար:

Հնդկաստանը դառնում է ԱՄՆ-ի ռազմավարական գործընկերը՝ պաշտպանական ոլորտում, հատկապես Հնդկական օվկիանոսում եւ Հարավարեւելյան Ասիայի որոշ շրջաններում չինական ազդեցությանը դիմակայելու հարցում: Վարչապետ Նարենդրա Մոդիի կառավարությունը գտնվում է 250 միլիարդ դոլար արժողությամբ 10-ամյա ռազմական արդիականացման գործընթացում:
