«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է․ «Այսօր կկայանա ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի եւ ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հանդիպումը: Հետաքրքիր է, որ պաշտոնական Մոսկվան, որը մշտապես հայտարարում էր, թե, օրինակ, վարչապետի հրաժարական տալու կամ չտալու հարցը Հայաստանի ներքին խնդիրն է, այս անգամ չի թաքցնում, որ Մոսկվայում կքննարկվի նաեւ Հայաստանում սպասվող արտահերթ ընտրությունների հարցը: Մասնավորապես, ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի խոսնակ Դմիտրի Պեսկովը երեկ ասել է, որ Պուտինն ու Փաշինյանը մտքեր կփոխանակեն նաեւ Հայաստանում սկսված ընտրական գործընթացների, ինչպես նաեւ հայ-ռուսական «սերտ համագործակցությանը վերաբերող» այլ հարցերի շուրջ: Եվ հաշվի առնելով, որ մեկ շաբաթ առաջ էլ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը զրույց է ունեցել ՀՀ երկրորդ նախագահ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի հետ, իսկ վերջինս էլ Մոսկվայում էր, իրավիճակն ավելի է հետաքրքրանում:

Ռուս քաղաքագետ Ստանիսլավ Պրիտչինը «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի հետ զրույցում կարծիք հայտնեց, թե այս հանդիպումով Փաշինյանը փորձելու է ստանալ Ռուսաստանի վստահությունը: «Հայաստանի հասարակության մի հատվածը բացասական արձագանքեց բանակցությունների արդյունքին, սակայն կա մի թեւ, որը աջակցում է նրան, իհարկե, ավելի քիչ, քան 2018-ին: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի համար սա նոր իրողություն է, եւ, իհարկե, այստեղ կարեւոր է աջակցությունը, որպեսզի ավելի վստահ գնա ընտրությունների», – կանխատեսեց ռուս քաղաքագետը։
