Արտավազդ Սահակյանը առաջիններից էր այն հիրավի հերոսական ճանապարհ անցած հայ մեծանուն բժիշկներից, ով, անտեսելով ամեն վտանգ ու սպառնալիք, Արցախյան պատերազմի տարիներին կամավոր մեկնել է Արցախ և որպես վիրաբույժ մասնագիտական գործունեությունն իրականացրել՝ փրկելով մարտի դաշտում հերոսացած, մեր նորագույն պատմության փառահեղ հաղթանակները կերտած, վիրավոր մարտիկների կյանքն ու առողջությունը, միևնույն ժամանակ՝ որպես ընկեր իր ամուր, սթափեցնող խորհուրդներով ցավին դիմադրելու ուժ և պատվախնդրություն ներարկել նրանց։ Այս մասին իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է ՀՀ Պաշտպանության  նախկին նախարար, «Հայաստան» դաշինքի անդամ Սեյրան Օհանյանը:

«Վերջին օրերին լրատվական միջոցները ողողված են Արցախյան պատերազմի մասնակից, նշանավոր պլաստիկ վիրաբույժ Արտավազդ Սահակյանի աշխատանքային հետագա գործունեությանը վերաբերող իրարամերժ մեկնաբանություններով, հնարավոր հեռանկարներով։

Ու թեև ներքաղաքական բարդ, լարված իրավիճակում և հատկապես մյուս ականավոր բժիշկ, օրթոպեդ-վնասվածքաբան Արմեն Չարչյանի նկատմամբ իրականացվող անընդունելի գործընթացներից հետո ոչինչ այլևս չի զարմացնում գիտակից հանրությանը, սակայն ակամա հարց է առաջանում․

ի՞նչ է սպասվում Հայրենիքի իրական նվիրյալներին,

ինչո՞ւ են ոտնահարվում նրանց ազատությունը և գործունեության իրավունքները։

Արտավազդ Սահակյանը առաջիններից էր այն հիրավի հերոսական ճանապարհ անցած հայ մեծանուն բժիշկներից, ով, անտեսելով ամեն վտանգ ու սպառնալիք, Արցախյան պատերազմի տարիներին կամավոր մեկնել է Արցախ և որպես վիրաբույժ մասնագիտական գործունեությունն իրականացրել՝ փրկելով մարտի դաշտում հերոսացած, մեր նորագույն պատմության փառահեղ հաղթանակները կերտած, վիրավոր մարտիկների կյանքն ու առողջությունը, միևնույն ժամանակ՝ որպես ընկեր իր ամուր, սթափեցնող խորհուրդներով ցավին դիմադրելու ուժ և պատվախնդրություն ներարկել նրանց։ Լինելով Արցախի և Հայաստանի տարբեր բնակավայրերում՝ նա որակյալ բուժօգնություն է ցուցաբերել նաև խաղաղ բնակչությանը՝ հարազատի նման լսելով նրանց և ապահովելով անհրաժեշտ դեղորայքով ու մարդասիրական օգնությամբ։ Իսկ պատերազմից հետո նույն նվիրումով ու ավյունով ծառայել է մեր ժողովրդին մինչև այսօր և հետագայում էլ շարունակելու է իր ազգանվեր գործունեությունը՝ որպես հուսալի ապավեն կանգնած լինելով վիրավոր, հաշմանդամ զինծառայողների, քաղաքացիների կողքին։

Արտավազդ Սահակյանի ոսկե ձեռքերը և անկեղծ խոսքը ինձ համար էլ նոր կյանքի, նոր ճանապարհի սկիզբ են դարձել. նա ոչ միայն բժիշկ, այլև լավագույն ընկեր, ազնիվ բարեկամ է ինձ համար։

Եվ այսօր մեր լավագույն ընկերներ Արտավազդ Սահակյանին, Արմեն Չարչյանին կարող ենք վստահաբար ասել․

-Մենք ձեզ հետ ենք, սիրելի' բժիշկներ, և ինչպես դուք եք ամուր թիկունք եղել ձեզ հուսացող ամեն վիրավորի, հիվանդի համար, այդպես էլ մենք կանգնելու ենք ձեր թիկունքին և շարունակելու ենք պայքարել, որպեսզի վերականգնվի արդարությունը»,- գրել է նա։
