Իշխանական թիմում քննարկում են, թե առանցքային հանձնաժողովներից որ առաջին երկուսն ընտրեն, որպեսզի դրանց նախագահությունը չանցնի ընդդիմությանը։ Դոնթի բանաձեւով՝ 71 մանդատ ստացած ՔՊ-ն սկզբում ընտրում է 2 հանձնաժողով, ապա 1 հանձնաժողով ընտրելու իրավունք է ստանում «Հայաստան» դաշինքը, ապա եւս 2 հանձնաժողով՝ իշխանությունը, մեկը՝ «Հայաստան»-ը, մինչեւ կբաշխվեն ԱԺ 11 հանձնաժողովները։ Այսինքն՝ 11-ից 3-ը բաժին կհասնի «Հայաստանին», «Պատիվ ունեմ»-ը հանձնաժողովի նախագահի պաշտոն չի ստանա։

Իշխանական խմբակցությունը նախապատվությունը տալիս է առանցքային հանձնաժողովներին՝ պետաիրավական, պաշտպանության եւ անվտանգության, ֆինանսաբյուջետային, արտաքին հարաբերությունների: Արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի անդամներն ամենաշատն են շրջագայում, ուստի հազիվ թե իշխանությունը սա ձեռքից բաց թողնի։

Կարեւոր է նաեւ պաշտպանության հանձնաժողովը, որ ընդդիմությունն ուղիղ «դոստուպ» չունենա ՊՆ-ին։ Բայց պակաս կարեւոր չէ նաեւ պետաիրավականը, որտեղով առաջիկայում լիքը կարեւոր օրենքներ ու պայմանագրեր են սղղացնելու։ ՔՊ-ում հնարավոր են համարում, որ պետաիրավականի նախկին նախագահ Վլադիմիր Վարդանյանն արտաքին հարաբերությունները ղեկավարի։
