Օգոստոսի 3-ին Տոկիոյի օլիմպիական խաղերում կխաղարկվեն 27 կոմպլեկտ մեդալներ: Դրանցից երեքին կմասնակցեն Հայաստանի մարզիկները:

Նախ ժամը 14:40–ին հունահռոմեական ոճի ըմբշամարտի մրցաշարում մեր 77 կգ քաշային Կարապետ Չալյանը կանցկացնի 3-րդ տեղի համար գոտեմարտը: Նրա մրցակիցը հայտնի կդառնա առավոտյան նախատեսված սփոփիչ մենամարտից հետո: Իրար հետ կմրցեն թունիսցի Լամջետ Մաաֆին և ադրբեջանցի Ռաֆիգ Հուսեյնովը:

Հունահռոմեական ըմբիշ, 97 կգ քաշային Արթուր Ալեքսանյանի եզրափակիչ մրցամարտը ռուսաստանցի Մուսա Եվլոևի հետ նախատեսված է ժամը 15:20-ին: Հուսանք, որ կիսաեզրափակիչում մեր մարզիկի ստացած ոտքի վնասվածքն այնքան էլ լուրջ բնույթ չի կրում, և նա կկարողանա դուրս գալ գորգ և պայքարել օլիմպիական երկրորդ ոսկե մեդալի համար:

Հայաստանի տղամարդկանց ծանրամարտի միակ ներկայացուցիչ, 109 կգ քաշային Սիմոն Մարտիրոսյանը, չեմպիոնի կոչման համար պայքարը կսկսի ժամը 14:50-ին: Ոսկե մեդալի համար կպայքարեն 9 ծանրորդ: Գլխավոր ֆավորիտ համարվում է հենց հայ մարզիկը, ում պատկանում է երկամարտի համաշխարհային ռեկորդը:

Առավոտյան ժամը 7:18-ին հայաստանի բռնցքամարտիկ Հովհաննես Բաչկովը (63 կգ քաշային կարգ) կանցկացնի քառորդ եզրափակիչ մրցամարտը Ուզբեկստանի ներկայացուցիչ Էլնուր Աբդուռաիմովի հետ։ Հաղթելու դեպքում մեր մարզիկը կդառնա օլիմպիական մեդալակիր` նվազագույնը բրոնզե:

Ժամը 7:50-ին իր առաջին մրցամարտը կանցկացնի հունահռոմեական ոճի ըմբիշ Կարեն Ասլանյանը։ Մինչև 67 կգ քաշայինների մրցաշարի 1/8 եզրափակիչում նա ուժերը կչափի աշխարհի բազմակի մրցանակակիր, հունգարացի Բալինտ Կորպաշի հետ։ Հաղթանակի դեպքում մեր ըմբիշը քառորդ եզրափակիչում կհանդիպի եգիպտացի Մոհամեդ Իբրահիմ Էլ Սայեդի հետ:
