Անցյալ տարի այս օրերին Արցախում ընթանում էին ամենաթեժ մարտերը, որոնց ընթացքում զոհվում էին հազարավոր երիտասարդներ։ Մեկ տարի առաջ, հոկտեմբերի 5-ին Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ուղղաթիռի հատուկ չվերթով այցելել է Ստեփանակերտ։ Այս մասին Facebook-ի իր էջում գրել է ՍԴ աշխատակազմի նախկին ղեկավար, Լեհաստանում ՀՀ նախկին դեսպան Էդգար Ղազարյանը:

Նա, մասնավորապես, նշել է. «Չնայած, որ Ստեփանակերտը ինտենսիվ կերպով ռմբահարվում էր այդ օրերին, սակայն Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի այցի ընթացքում ռմբահարությունները դադարեցվել էին և վերսկսել են նրա Երևան վերադառնալուց հետո։ Որևէ առողջ տրամաբանություն չի կարող հուշել, որ դա եղել է պատահաբար։

Ակնհայտ է, որ ադրբեջանական կողմը տեղյակ է եղել այդ այցի մասին և հատուկ են դադարեցրել ռմբակոծությունը՝ նրա ուղղաթիռը չվնասելու համար։ Ադրբեջանական կողմը մի գուցե նաև տեղյակ չի եղել, թե ինչի համար է գնում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Ստեփանակերտ, սակայն պատմական փաստ է, որ այդ այցից հետո իրականացված ռազմական գործողությունների ժամանակ է հայկական կողմը տվել մեծաքանակ կորուստներ, որոնց իրական թվերի մասին մինչ օրս ոչինչ չի ասվում։

Այդ օրը ադրբեջանական բանակին հաջողվեց ճեղքել պաշտպանական գիծը, բեկում մտցնել պատերազմի մեջ, ներթափանցել հայկական վերահսկողության տարածքի խորքերը, զավթել հարյուրավոր բնակավայրեր և հասնել մինչև Շուշի՝ ազդարարելով պատերազմում իրենց հաղթական ավարտի մասին։

Քանի դեռ չկան պաշտոնական թվեր, ստիպված ենք հայթայթել տեղեկատվության տարբեր աղբյուրներ։ Ըստ որոշ աղբյուրների, անցյալ տարի այս օրերին միայն մեկ օրում զոհվել է 1000-ից ավելի զինծառայող։

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պատմության մեջ չի եղել թեկուզ մեկ օր, որ ծնված լինի 1000 պատանի, բայց եղել է օր, որ մեկ օրում զոհվի 1000-ից ավել երիտասարդ, իսկ այդ օրը եղել է այն ժամանակաշրջանում, երբ Հայաստանը ղեկավարել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը»։
