«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. Խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին ընդառաջ լայնորեն օգտագործեցինք հասարակական կարծիք ուսումնասիրող ընկերություններից մեկի՝ մեր աղբյուրներին տրամադրած արդյունքները, որոնք ոչ միշտ էին միանշանակ ընկալվում ու հաճախ ենթարկվում էին անհիմն քննադատության: Ընտրությունների արդյունքները ցույց տվեցին, որ մեր հրապարակած արդյունքները շատ մոտ, եթե չասենք նույնական էին ստացված տվյալներին:

Թերեւս մենք միակն էինք, որ հրապարակեցինք ՔՊ-ի անվերապահ հաղթանակը Սյունիքի մարզում, այնինչ քննարկումների տեսանելի հատվածում գրեթե բոլոր քաղաքագետներն ու վերլուծաբանները դա բացառում էին: Հոկտեմբերի 1-ից մենք խնդրել էինք նույն ընկերության մեր աղբյուրներին տեղեկություններ տրամադրել սպասվող ՏԻՄ ընտրությունների վերաբերյալ: Մեզանից մի քանի օր ժամանակ խնդրեցին, որպեսզի ամփոփվեն սեպտեմբեր ամսվա ստացած նախնական թվերը: Երեկ վերջապես հայտնեցին, որ, ըստ էության, իշխող ուժի դիրքերն ավելի են ամրապնդվել, ու գրեթե բոլոր համայնքների ավագանիներում իշխող ուժը ստանալու է ձայների ճնշող մեծամասնությունը:

Մենք առանձնահատուկ խնդրեցինք կանգ առնել Գյումրիի, Կապանի, Գորիսի վրա. մեզ պատասխանեցին, որ Սյունիքի համայնքներում իշխող ուժի թեկնածուներին ձայն տալու պատրաստակամություն են հայտնել ավելի մեծ թվով մարդիկ, քան դա կար խորհրդարանական վերջին ընտրությունների ժամանակ, իսկ Գյումրիում ՔՊ-ն իհարկե կհաղթի, սակայն դեռևս հստակ չէ՝ կկարողանա ավագանու իրենց խմբակցությունը միայնակ ընտրել քաղաքապետ, թե ոչ:

Մեզ նաև փոխանցեցին, որ հասարակական տրամադրություններում նկատվում է աճող անտարբերություն քաղաքական հայտարարությունների, քաղաքական կուսակցությունների ներկայացուցիչների ասածների, գրածների ու խոսքերի հանդեպ. որպես պատճառ մարդիկ նշում են տարրական բաներ, որոնք արվում են հիմա ու չեն արվել նախկինում, օրինակ՝ ասֆալտ, լուսավորություն, բարեկարգում և այլն: Ընդդիմությունը և քաղաքացիների ճնշող մեծամասնությունը կարծես զուգահեռ իրականություններում ապրեն. նշեցին մեր զրուցակիցները: Ի դեպ, ՔՊ թեկնածուները շարունակում են մնալ անկարևոր, հաճախ թեկնածուների անուն-ազգանունները չեն հիշում, ձայնը գնալու է «հին ու բարի» Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին: Այսինքն` Պողոս Պողոսյանն է, թե Պետրոս Պետրոսյանը, էական չէ:
