«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. «Հայաստանում շարունակվող ՏԻՄ ընտրությունները հիմնականում անցնում են «աննկատ» ու նվազ հետաքրքրության պայմաններում: Համեմատության կարգով ուշադրություն են գրավում Գյումրին՝ որպես երկրորդ քաղաք, եւ Սյունիքի համայնքները, քանզի այնտեղ խոշոր համայնքների ղեկավարների դեմ հարուցված են քրեական գործեր, մի մասն էլ ազատազրկված են: Օրինակ՝ Գորիս համայնքի ղեկավար Առուշ Առուշանյանը որը նաեւ համայնքի ղեկավարի թեկնածու է, գտնվում է անազատության մեջ, եւ, Գորիսում շրջանառվող լուրերի համաձայն, եթե նույնիսկ ինչ-որ հրաշքով կարողանա վերընտրվել, դա դեռ չի նշանակում, որ կհայտնվի ազատության մեջ ու կկարողանա ղեկավարել համայնքը:

Գորիսեցիների շրջանում մտահոգություն կա, որ դեպքերի նման զարգացման դեպքում կտուժի համայնքը, դրա զարգացումը. նրանցից մեկը մեզ հետ զրույցում նշեց. «Համայնքի ղեկավարը պետք է լինի իշխանությունների մարդը, որ կարողանա փող, ծրագիր ու նոր հնարավորություններ բերի մեր քաղաքին, ընդդիմանալով կենտրոնական իշխանության դեմ` ոչինչ դեպի լավը չի գնա, ու կտուժենք մենք ու մեր երեխաները»:

Ընդհանրապես տպավորություն է ստեղծվում, որ մարդիկ հոգնել են ներքաղաքական կյանքի մասին խոսելուց ու ցանկանում են իրական փոփոխություններ, ցանկանում են, որպեսզի իրենց երեխաների համար ստեղծվեն կյանքի, կրթության այնպիսի պայմաններ, ինչպիսիք կան մայրաքաղաքում, ու շատերը դրանց բացակայությունը շարունակում են կապել նախկին իշխանությունների՝ տարիների անգործության հետ, իսկ, ահա, նորերը բարեկարգում են տարիներով քանդված փողոցներն ու մայրուղիները, ինչը ստիպում է մարդկանց աչք փակել նորահայտ շատ խնդիրերի առաջ:

Գրեթե նույն իրավիճակն է նաեւ Սյունիքի մյուս համայնքներում. այստեղ ենթագիտակցորեն մարդիկ ձգտում են փոփոխությունների՝ համարելով, որ իրենց նախկին ղեկավարները, լինելով նախկին իշխանությունների հետ սերտաճած մարդիկ, պետք է այն ժամանակ այսպիսի ջանասիրությամբ պայքարեին իրենց համայնքների զարգացման համար, եթե պետք էր, այն ժամանակ ընդվզման կոչեր անեին, այլ ոչ թե երիտկոմերիտականների նման զգաստ կանգնեին, երբ Երեւանից ինչ-որ մեկը գալիս էր իրենց մոտ, ու երբ տարիներով նույնիսկ փողոց չէր ասֆալտապատվում, դպրոց չէր վերանորոգվում եւ այլն: Ինչպես ասում են, ամեն բան մի օր շուռ է գալիս:
