Իր վերջին «ասուլիսի» ժամանակ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը նշել է, թե չի կարծում, որ Հայաստանը կդիտարկի ՀԱՊԿ-ից դուրս գալու հարցը։ Արտաքուստ առանձնապես սենսացիա կամ նորություն չպարունակող այս հայտարարությունն իրականում, ինչպես ասում են, «հենց այնպես» չի արվել: Մեր աղբյուրի փոխանցմամբ, Փաշինյանը նման դիտարկում կատարել է հատուկ և ընդգծված, քանի որ իրականում այս առիթով խորքային քննարկումներ են տեղի ունեցել։ Բանն այն է, որ, մեր ունեցած տեղեկություններով, Հայաստանի իշխանությունները որոշակի մեսիջներ են ստացել ռուսական կողմից այն առումով, որ Մոսկվայում բավականին մտահոգություններ ունեն՝ կապված Հայաստանում վերջին շրջանում վերստին ահագնացած հակառուսական ու հակահապկական արշավի հետ:

Ընդ որում, խոսքը ոչ միայն, այսպես կոչված, սորոսականների ու այլ արևմտամոլների մասին է, այլև իշխանության որոշ շրջանակների: Ընդ որում, մեր աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ, ՌԴ-ում վստահ են, որ նման տրամադրությունները գեներացվում կամ խրախուսվում են հենց իշխանության ամենաբարձր էշելոնների կողմից, ու ոչ մեկ նպատակով: Մոսկվայում կասկածներ ունեն, որ իրենք այս դեպքում գործ ունեն ոչ միայն պրիմիտիվ «շանտաժի», այլև հստակ կողմնորոշման հետ: Այդ իսկ պատճառով Փաշինյանը ստիպված է եղել հատուկ շեշտել վերոնշյալ միտքը...
