Այս օրերին համաշխարհային գլխավոր հարցը շարունակում է մնալ Ուկրաինա ռուսական հնարավոր ներխուժման հավանականությունը: Եվ այդ հարցը հնչում է ավելի ու ավելի հաճախ, հատկապես այն բանից հետո, երբ պարզ  դարձավ, որ ԱՄՆ-ն  ու ՆԱՏՕ-ն  չեն ընդունել անվտանգության երաշխիքների վերաբերյալ Ռուսաստանի առաջարկները:

Չնայած այն հանգմանքին, որ Վաշինգտոնն ու Բրյուսելը հայտարարում են, թե այդուհանդերձ պատրաստ են շարունակել երկխոսությունը, այդուհանդերձ առաջանում է հարց՝ մերժում ստանալու պարագայում Պուտինը կգնա՞ ռազմական քայլի, թե՞ ոչ: Հայաստանում կա առկա իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ երկու առանցքային մտահոգություն. մեկն այն է, որ ուկրաինական ուղղությամբ ռազմական էսկալացիայի պայմաններում Ռուսաստանը Հայաստանի առաջ չդնի այսպես ասած «իր կողմից կռվելու» պահանջ: Նշենք, որ այդպիսի իրավիճակի հավանականությունը բավական քիչ է:

Ռուսաստանն ակնհայտորեն խաղում է Բելառուսի հետ տանդեմով և առայժմ չի դիտարկում Հայաստանը, առավել ևս, որ իրադարձությունների տրամաբանությունը ամենևին միարժեք չէ, և այդուհանդերձ բավականին «խորհրդավոր» է ամերիկա-ռուսական բանակցության բովանդակությունը: Այդ իմաստով, տպավորություն է, որ ԱՄՆ ու Ռուսաստանը «անցնում» են, այսպես ասած, կետ առ կետ կամ շախմատային խաղատախտակի վանդակ առ վանդակ, ու դեռևս չեն հասել Կովկասին:

Հենց այստեղ էլ առաջանում է մյուս, թերևս ավելի հավանական ռիսկը՝ Կովկասում որևէ «մետաստազը», որ կարող է տեղի ունենալ գործընթացի ծավալմանը զուգահեռ, եթե այդ ծավալումը լինի ռազմական տրամաբանությամբ: Այդ համատեքստում բավականին մտահոգիչ է Թուրքիայի հայտարարությունը, որ ագրեսիայի դեպքում Անկարան իրեն կդրսևորի որպես ՆԱՏՕ անդամ: Այնպես, որ առաջիկա ամիսներին սպասվում են գեոպոլիտիկ լուրջ վերադասավորումներ, ինչը ևս մեկ անգամ կփաստի, որ ոչ միայն մեր տարածաշրջանում, այլև ողջ աշխարհում այլևս նախկին շահերը չեն, այլ լրիվ նոր իրականության հետ գործ ունենք։
