Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը մայիսի 9-ին պաշտոնապես պատերազմ կհայտարարի Ուկրաինային՝ թույլ տալով ինքն իրեն ընդհանուր մոբիլիզացիա անցկացնել Ռուսաստանում և ներգրավել ռեզերվները, հաղորդում է CNN-ը՝ վկայակոչելով արևմտյան պաշտոնյաների հայտարարությունները։

Ի թիվս այլոց, հեռուստաալիքը մեջբերում է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի պաշտպանության նախարար Բեն Ուոլեսին, ով մի քանի օր առաջ LBC ռադիոյին տված հարցազրույցում կարծիք էր հայտնել, որ Պուտինը կարող է հրաժարվել Ուկրաինայում ռազմական գործողությունները «հատուկ գործողություն» անվանելուց և հայտարարել համընդհանուր մոբիլիզացիա։

«Ես չեմ զարմանա, թեև ես դրա մասին ճշգրիտ տեղեկություն չունեմ, որ Պուտինը, հավանաբար, պատրաստվում է այդ օրը հայտարարել, որ «այժմ իրենք կռվում են ամբողջ աշխարհի նացիստների դեմ և պետք է զանգվածային մոբիլիզացիա իրականացնեն ռուսների շրջանում»,- ասել է պաշտոնյան։

Պատերազմի պաշտոնական հայտարարումը Պուտինին թույլ կտա մոբիլիզացնել պահեստային ուժեր, որոնք, Արևմուտքի կարծիքով, անհրաժեշտ են ռուսական զորքերին՝ Ուկրաինայում կորուստների դեպքում: Արևմտյան և ուկրաինական պաշտոնյաների գնահատմամբ՝ ներխուժման սկզբից ի վեր՝ Ռուսաստանը կորցրել է առնվազն 10 000 զինծառայող: Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության պաշտպանության նախարարությունը նախորդ անգամ՝ մարտի 25-ին, հայտարարեց 1351 զոհի մասին։

Մոբիլիզացիայի մասին օրենքի համաձայն՝ Ռուսաստանի նախագահը կարող է ընդհանուր կամ մասնակի մոբիլիզացիա հայտարարել «Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության դեմ ագրեսիայի կամ ագրեսիայի ուղղակի սպառնալիքի, Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության դեմ ուղղված զինված հակամարտությունների բռնկման դեպքում»։

Բացի այդ՝ մայիսի 9-ին պատերազմի հայտարարումը կարող է ուժեղացնել Ռուսաստանի աջակցությունը Ուկրաինա ներխուժմանը, ասվում է CNN-ի հոդվածում, որը նշում է օրվա «քարոզչական արժեքը»: ԱՄՆ Պետդեպարտամենտի խոսնակ Նեդ Փրայսը հայտարարել է, որ «հիմնավոր պատճառներ կան ենթադրելու, որ ռուսներն ամեն ինչ կանեն մայիսի 9-ը քարոզչական նպատակներով օգտագործելու համար»։

Ավելի վաղ Ուկրաինայի պաշտպանության նախարարության հետախուզության գլխավոր վարչության ղեկավար Կիրիլ Բուդանովը հայտարարել էր, որ Ռուսաստանը պատրաստվում է զանգվածային մոբիլիզացիայի։ Նրա խոսքով՝ ռուս պաշտոնյաները սկսել են հաշվել, թե զորահավաքի քանի հրաման կարող են տալ։ «Սա բացարձակապես անհրաժեշտ քայլ է իրական մոբիլիզացիայի մեկնարկից առաջ»,- պարզաբանել է Բուդանովը։
