ԳՇ պետի նախկին տեղակալ Տիրան Խաչատրյանը բավականին ուշագրավ հայտարարություններ է հնչեցրել, որը 44-օրյա պատերազմի հանգամանքների վերաբերյալ նոր մանրամասներ է ի հայտ բերում կամ եղած կասկածանքները հաստատում։
Ընդ որում՝ պետք է նկատի ունենալ, որ գեներալ Խաչատրյանը պատերազմի օրերին առանցքային պաշտոն է զբաղեցրել և տիրապետում է այնպիսի տեղեկատվության, որին խիստ սահմանափակ թվով մարդիկ են տիրապետում։
168ժամ-ի հետ զրույցում վերջինս հաստատել է, որ ԳՇ նախկին պետ Օնիկ Գասպարյանից բանակային կորպուսներին և Պաշտպանության բանակին հրաման իջեցվել է անցնելու պաշտպանության, սակայն եղել է հատված, որը ողջ ծավալով թշնամու գործողություններին չի պատրաստվել՝ ակնարկելով ՊԲ-ին։
Ավելին, Խաչատրյանը պնդում է, որ պատերազմից առաջ եղել է ԳՇ պետի կարգադրությունը՝ լինել կառավարման կետերում, սակայն ՊԲ նախկին հրամանատար Ջալալ Հարությունյանը պատերազմի մեկնարկին այնտեղ չի եղել։
 
Պատերազմում մեր պարտության գլխավոր խնդիրն այն է եղել և դրա վրա պետք է կենտրոնանալ, որ չնայած նախապես հավաստի տեղեկություններ են ստացվել պատերազմական գործողությունների մեկնարկի վերաբերյալ, ասում են՝ նույնիսկ կոնկրետ օրն է հետախուզությունը նախապես իմացել, Զինված ուժերը, իսկ ավելի կոնկրետ՝ ՊԲ-ն, ողջ հնարավորություններով չի ծավալվել, այլ միայն որոշակի ուժեղացումներ է արել, ինչը նման իրադրության պայմաններում խիստ անբավարար է եղել։
 
Ավելին, տեղեկություններ կան, որ հետախուզությունը նույնիսկ հստակ ասել է, որ հարձակման գլխավոր ուղղությունը Արցախն է լինելու և դրա հիման վրա բանակային կորպուսները ոչ միայն խաղաղից պատերազմի անցնելու համապատասխան միջոցառումներ են ձեռնարկել, այլ դրա շրջանակներում նույնիսկ հասցրել են սպառազինության պահեստները տեղափոխել, ինչը ՊԲ-ի դեպքում չի եղել և Ադրբեջանը պատերազմի առաջին օրերից դրանք անմիջապես խոցեց։
 
Թե ինչո՞ւ ՊԲ-ն համապատասխան հետախուզական տեղեկությունների առկայության պայմաններում նախապես ողջ ծավալով չի բացազատվել, պաշտպանության չի անցել, արդեն հուշում է, որ պատերազմի հանգամանքների բացահայտման գլխավոր պատճառն այստեղ պետք է փնտրել։
