Կիևի որոշ քաղաքական գործիչներ, այդ թվում՝ «Ժողովրդի ծառա» խմբակցության ղեկավար Դավիթ Արախամիան, դուրս են եկել ուկրաինա-վրացական հարաբերությունների բոլոր ձևերից՝ Թբիլիսիի դեմ պատժամիջոցներ սահմանելու կոչերի պատճառով: Այս մասին հայտարարել է հանրապետության խորհրդարանի փոխխոսնակ Գիա Վոլսկին, գրում է Sputnik Վրաստանը։

Ինչպես նշում է գործակալությունը, Արախամիան նախօրեին «Մտավարի Արխի» հեռուստաալիքի եթերում սպառնացել է պատժամիջոցներ կիրառել Վրաստանի ղեկավարության դեմ՝ Ռուսաստանի դեմ սահմանված սահմանափակումներին աջակցել չցանկանալու համար։ 

«Արախամիան (...) դուրս է եկել ուկրաինական շահեր կոչվածի կաղապարից։ Արախամիան բարձրաձայնում է հենց այն, ինչ պետք է այսպես կոչված արմատական ​​ընդդիմությանը»,- քաղաքական գործչի սպառնալիքներին պատասխանել է Վոլսկին։

Փոխխոսնակը նշել է, որ Արևմուտքը պատժամիջոցներ չի կիրառում միայն ուկրաինացի պաշտոնյաների հավատարմության հիման վրա, ինչպես նաև Կիևից հնչող բարձր «կարգախոսների և բացականչությունների» ֆոնին։ Նա հավելել է, որ Վրաստանը նույնպես կարող է արձագանքել Ուկրաինայի կողմից նման պահվածքին։
