Իտալական Տրիեստե քաղաքում անցկացվել է ամենամյա «Երբ արևելքը հանդիպում է արևմուտքին» (WHEN EAST MEETS WEST) կինոարտադրության հարթակը:

Ինչպես  հայտնում են ՀՀ ԿԳՄՍ նախարարությունից, 2023 թվականին պաշտոնական հրավերով այդ հարթակին մասնակցել են հայ կինոգործիչները, այդ թվում՝ Հայաստանի ազգային կինոկենտրոնի տնօրեն Շուշանիկ Միրզախանյանը, ֆիլմ-հանձնակատար Մելիքսեթ Կարապետյանը, միջազգային բաժնի ղեկավար Նաիրա Գևորգյանը, ինչպես նաև վեց հայ կինոարտադրողներ:

WEMW-ի ամենամյա կինոհարթակը կազմակերպվել է Տրիեստեի 34-րդ միջազգային կինոփառատոնի օրերին (հունվարի 21-28-ը)։ Այս տարի WEMW-ի դիտակետում (Focus 2023) եղել են Հայաստանը, Վրաստանը, Մոլդովան, Ուկրաինան, Իսպանիան, Պորտուգալիան, Լատինական Ամերիկան և այլ երկրներ: WEMW-ը միավորում է շուրջ 40 երկրի ավելի քան 500 մասնագետի։

Հայաստանի ազգային կինոկենտրոնի տնօրեն Շուշանիկ Միրզախանյանը WEMW-ի շրջանակում հանդիպումներ է ունեցել Վրաստանի ազգային կինոկենտրոնի փոխտնօրենի, Մոնտենեգրոյի (Չեռնոգորիա) կինոկենտրոնի տնօրենի, Թեսալոնիկի միջազգային կինոփառատոնի համակարգողի, Վենետիկի միջազգային կինոփառատոնի ընտրական հանձնաժողովի ներկայացուցչի հետ: Քննարկվել են Հայ կինոյի 100-ամյակի և 2024 թվականին Ս. Փարաջանովի 100-ամյակին նվիրված միջոցառումներին վերաբերող հարցեր։

WEMW «Focus 2023»-ի շրջանակում հունվարի 24-ին տեղի է ունեցել նաև պանելային քննարկում, որտեղ մասնակից երկրները ներկայացրել են իրենց կառույցները, համատեղ արտադրության ռազմավարությունները և միջազգային համագործակցության հիմնական առաջնահերթությունները: Հայաստանի ազգային կինոկենտրոնի կողմից ելույթ է ունեցել ֆիլմ-հանձնակատար Մելիքսեթ Կարապետյանը՝ «Հայաստանի ազգային կինոկենտրոնի ռազմավարությունը Հայաստանի մասնակցությամբ եվրոպական համատեղ արտադրությունների ֆինանսավորման գործում» թեմայով:

Նշվում է, որ Տրիեստեի 34-րդ միջազգային փառատոնի շրջանակում հունվարի 25-ին տեղի է ունեցել Իննա Սահակյանի «Ավրորայի լուսաբացը» ֆիլմի ցուցադրությունը։ Բացի դրանից՝ «WEMW Focus 2023»-ի ներկայացմանը մասնակցած ռեժիսոր Իննա Սահակյանը «Բարս մեդիա» ընկերության «Շեքսպիրի մեղքերը» (պետական աջակցության) նախագծի համար ստացել է նաև Բեռլինի կինոշուկայի մասնակցության անվճար հավատարմագրում:

«Երբ արևելքը հանդիպում է արևմուտքին» կինոարտադրության հեղինակավոր հարթակին մասնակցությունը միտված է կինոկենտրոնի միջազգային կապերի և գործունեության ամրապնդմանը, ինչն էլ կնպաստի հայկական կինոժառանգության, դասական և ժամանակակից ֆիլմերի տարածմանն ու հանրայնացմանը։
