Երևանի ավագանու ընտրություններում «Ապրելու երկիր» կուսակցությանն աջակցելու մասին Արցախի նախկին պետնախարար Ռուբեն Վարդանյանի հայտարարությունը լուրջ ցնցումներ է առաջացրել գործող վարչախմբի շրջանում։ Նախ զարմանալի է, թե ինչու պետք է Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը չաջակցեր մի կուսակցության, որն իր իսկ նախաձեռնությամբ է ստեղծվել, մյուս կողմից փաշինյանական սպասարկուները փորձում են կրկին հակադրել Արցախն ու Հայաստանը՝ պնդելով, թե Արցախից չպետք է միջամտեն Երևանի ընտրություններին։ Մի կողմ դնենք այն հանգամանքը, որ այս նման մոտեցումն իսկապես անհեթեթ է։ Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը պարզ և շիտակ կոչ է արել՝ գնալ և ընտրել «Ապրելու երկիր» կուսակցությանը, քանի որ Երևանը Հայաստանի մոտ կեսն է, Երևանում է կուտակված մեծ ռեսուրսներ, նաև կան հնարավորություններ մարդկանց ցույց տալու, թե ինչ պետք է անել, որ փոխվի իրավիճակն ամբողջ Հայաստանում։

Ըստ Վարդանյանի՝ մենք ունենք էքզիստենցիալ լուրջ վտանգ, դա ոչ միայն պատերազմի վտանգն է, դա մարդկային արժանապատվության կործանումն է։ «Մենք հազարավոր տարիներ ապրել ենք այս երկրագնդում և ամբողջ աշխարհին շատ բան ենք տվել, այս իրավիճակում միակ մեր պատասխանը պետք է լինի հետևյալը՝ մենք պատասխանատու ենք մեր հայրենիքի համար և թույլ չենք տա ոչ մեկի կործանել Հայաստանը և Արցախը։ Տարբեր դժվարություններ ենք ունենալու, բայց հաղթելու ենք ու անցնելու ենք այս ճանապարհը՝ մեր գլուխը բարձր պահելով»,- հայտարարել է Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը։

Նա նաև նշել է, թե Երևանի ավագանու ընտրությունները պարզապես տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմնի ընտրություններ չեն, ավտոբուսների, աղբահանության և այլնի մասին, Երևանում է հանրապետության գրեթե կեսը և այս ընտրություններն առաջին քայլն է հեռացնելու այն իշխանություններին, որոնք հրաժարվել են Արցախից, որոնք, կա՛մ ծախվել են, կա՛մ չեն հասկանում, որ իրենց գործողություններով հարվածի տակ են դնում Հայաստանն ու ողջ ազգը։

Ըստ Ռուբեն Վարդանյանի՝ կուսակցությունը, որը ցանկանում է և կարող է կանգնեցնել այս անցանկալի սցենարը, «Ապրելու երկիրն» է, այդ կուսակցության շուրջ միավորվել են մարդիկ, ովքեր իսկապես գիտեն, թե ինչպես փոխել իրավիճակը և պատրաստ են պատասխանատվություն ստանձնել Հայաստանի ապագայի համար։
