Արայիկ Հարությունյանի հրաժարականի թեման առաջնային է քննարկել այն տեսանկյունից, թե ինչ ենք ունենալու հետո և ինչ ապագա է ուրվագծվելու ստեղծված անչափ ծանր ու անորոշ ժամանակահատվածում:
 
Արայիկ Հարությունյան անձին ու նախագահին բազմաթիվ առիթներով եմ անդրադարձել, բայց հիմա կանգ չեմ առնի, դրա առիթը դեռ կլինի, սակայն քաոսի շեմին կանգնած Արցախին ուժ, կամք ու նոր շունչ է պետք, որը պետք է ամեն գնով ապահովել:
Ի դեպ, հայաստան այն ուժերը, գործիչները, ովքեր ասում են, որ Հարությունյանին պարտադրել են հեռանալ, իսկ դրանով պետականություն է փլուզվում, ապա հիշեցնեմ, որ Հարությունյանը ամիսներ առաջ սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների պրոցես էր նախաձեռնել, որը հնարավորություն է տալիս ԱԺ-ին այսպիսի իրավիճակում նախագահ ընտրել:
 
Ինչ վերաբերվում է հրաժարական «պարտադրելուն», ապա եթե նման պահանջ ՀՀ իշխանությունից չի եղել, ապա Արցախում հիմնական դերակատարների կողմից պարտադրանք չի եղել, ավելին` նրան հորդորել են այդպիսի քայլի գնալ հարաբերական կայուն ժամանակահատվածում, սակայն Հարությունյանը պնդել է, որ պետք է գնա:
Այս պահին բարձր կամ բարձրագույն պաշտոն զբաղեցնելն Արցախում ծանր փորձություն է լինելու, որի տակ ամեն մարդ օբյեկտիվ ու սուբյեկտիվ պատճառներով չի մտնի, սակայն ով է այդ պատասխանատվությունը ստանձնի, պետք է նրա շուրջ հանրային համախմբում և կոնսեսուս ապահովել:
 
Իհարկե շատ բան կախված է նրանից, թե ով կլինի առաջնորդողը և արդյո՞ք դա ազգային համերաշխություն ստեղծելու հնարավորություն կստեղծի:
