Այսօր ոչ թե Երևանի քաղաքապետի կամ ավագանու ընտրություն է, այլ ընտրություն պատերազմի ու խաղաղության միջև՝ ասաց «Մայր Հայաստան» դաշինքի առաջնորդ Անդրանիկ Թևանյանը Սասունցի Դավթի արձանի մոտ մեկնարկած հանրահավաք-երթի ժամանակ։
 
Նա մատնանշեց Հայաստանի սահմանին Ադրբեջանի զորքի կուտակումներն ու Հայաստանի՝ նոր կործանարար պատերազմի շեմին լինելը, որի մեղավորը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն է։
 
«Մենք զգուշացնում էինք, որ քանի դեռ նա վարչապետի աթոռին է՝ Հայաստանն ու Արցախը մշտապես հայտնվելու են պատերազմի վտանգի առջև։ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն է պատերազմ բերողը, թեև խաբում էր՝ իբր խաղաղություն է բերելու»,-ասաց Անդրանիկ Թևանյանը։
 
Ապա թվարկեց պատճառները, թե ինչու է նա անընդհատ պատերազմ բերում․ որովհետև անընդհատ պատրաստակամություն է հայտնում զիջումների գնալու, իսկ թշնամու ախորժակը ուտելիս է բացվում, բացի այդ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը մենակ է թողել Հայաստանին թշնամու դեմ, որի հետ նաև Թուրքիան է։
 
Հայաստանը, Անդրանիկ Թևանյանի խոսքով, մինչև ուժեղանալը ունի 2 տարբերակ․ առաջինը՝ դաշնակիցների միջոցով կարողանալ պաշտպանել իր անվտանգությունը, և երկրորդ՝ անընդհատ գնալ զիջումների և այդպես փորձել, իբր, հասնել խաղաղության։
 
«Անընդհատ զիջումների ճանապարհը չի ավարտվելու Արցախով, չի ավարտվելու Սյունիքով, այլ ավարտվելու է Հայաստանով։ Երկրորդ ճանապարհը դաշնակիցների՝ Իրանի ու Ռուսաստանի, հետ նորմալ հարաբերությունների հաստատումն է։ Բայց դա Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը միտումնավոր փլուզել է։ Ինչո՞ւ։ Որովհետև միայն Թուրքիայի ազդեցության ներքո նա կարող է պաշտպանել իր իշխանությունը և անձնական անվտանգությունը»,-ասաց Անդրանիկ Թևանյանը։
 
Բայց քանի որ Թուրքիան Ադրբեջանի հետ ամբողջ Հայաստանն է պահանջում, նշեց նա, մենք որևէ շանս չունենք անընդհատ զիջելով ստանալ ինչ-որ խաղաղություն և գոյատևել այս տարածաշրջանում։ Մնում են դաշնակիցները։
 
Դաշինքի առաջնորդի համոզմամբ, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը դիտմամբ է թողնում մեզ առանց դաշնակիցների, որպեսզի իր կաշին փրկի Թուրքիայի ազդեցության ներքո։ Եվ մենք պետք է ամեն ինչ անենք, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանությանը վերջ տրվի, որպեսզի մենք ունենանք խաղաղություն։
 
«Սրանք որ ասում են «ասեք՝ կանենք», դա հայ ժողովրդին չի վերաբերում, դա վերաբերում է Թուրքիային ու Ադրբեջանին․ նրանք ասում են ինչ-որ բան՝ սրանք անում են դա»,-ասաց Անդրանիկ Թևանյանը։
 
Մեր խնդիրը, ըստ նրա, պետք է լինի Երևանի ավագանու ընտրությունը վերածել իշխանափոխության գործընթացի, որը խաղաղության ապահովման միակ երաշխիքն է։
 
«Մեր ընտրությունն է՝ կա՛մ Հայաստան ու Արցախ, կա՛մ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանություն ու նրա անձնական անվտանգություն»,-ասաց Անդրանիկ Թևանյանն ու հավելեց․ «Մայր Հայաստան» դաշինքն ընտրում է Հայաստանն ու Արցախը, և ժողովրդի աջակցությամբ պետք է հասնի իշխանափոխության ու խաղաղության։
