Արևային վահանակների արտադրության ոլորտում մրցակցությունը սրվում է, իսկ Եվրամիությունը չի կարողանում ազդել իրավիճակի վրա։ Բանն այն է, որ Եվրոպայում արտադրվող արևային վահանակներն ու մարտկոցները բավական թանկ են, իսկ Չինաստանը ողողել է եվրոպական շուկաներն իր համեմատաբար մատչելի ու շահավետ սարքավորումներով։

Իրավիճակը գրեթե նույնական էր նաև ԱՄՆ-ում, սակայն Սպիտակ տունն արագ կազմակերպվեց, բարձր մաքսատուրքեր մտցրեց չինական սարքավորումների վրա, որպեսզի խթանի արտադրությունն իր տարածքում։ Արդյունքում, ոչ միայն հաջողվեց զսպել չինական արևային սարքավորումների էքսպանսիան, այլև Նահանգներ հրավիրել վահանակների եվրոպական առաջատար արտադրողներին։
