Իրանը մտադիր է դիտորդ պետության կարգավիճակ ստանալ Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությունում։ Իրանի դեսպան Քազեմ Ջալալին Մոսկվայում ռուս-իրանական համագործակցությանը նվիրված միջազգային ժողովում հայտարարել է, թե առաջին փուլում Թեհրանը ցանկանում է դիտորդ դառնալ, որին կհաջորդեն հետագա փուլերը՝ Ռուսաստանի և մյուս մասնակից երկրների աջակցությամբ։ Դիվանագետն ուշադրություն է հրավիրել Հյուսիս-հարավ միջազգային տրանսպորտային միջանցքի զարգացման տեմպերի վրա, որն իրականացնում է Ռուսաստանի և Իրանի ակտիվ աջակցությամբ։ Նշենք, որ ԵԱՏՄ-ի հետ վերջին պայմանագիրը կնքվել է նախորդ տարվա դեկտեմբերին, Սանկտ Պետերբուրգում, ուր մասնակցելու համար նույնիսկ մեկնել էր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը։

Ըստ բազմաթիվ փորձագետների՝ նրան հենց Իրանն էր խնդրել մեկնել և չխափանել համաձայնագրի կնքումը, ուստի ԵԱՏՄ-ին մասնակցելու իրանական մտադրությունը լուրջ խոչընդոտ է Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունների՝ Արևմուտք թեքվելու քաղաքականությանը։ Առնավազն Հայաստանի կարևոր երկու գործընկերները՝ Իրանը և Ռուսաստանը, չեն հանդուրժի նման պահվածք, առավել ևս, որ Թեհրանը հենց Հայաստանն է հնարավոր կամուրջ համարում ԵԱՏՄ-ի հետ հարաբերություններում, այլ ոչ Ադրբեջանը, որի հետ ցանկացած պահի կարող են խնդիրներ առաջանալ, ուստի դեպի Արևմուտք փաշինյանական իշխանության թեքվելու փորձերը հանդիպելու են անմիջականորեն Իրանի և Ռուսաստանի հակազդեցությանը, մինչդեռ Հայաստանը հենց ինքը պետք է շահագրգռված լինի Իրանի այս մտադրությամբ, ավելին՝ փորձի օգտագործել այս հանգամանքը Հայաստան-Ռուսաստան-Իրան առանցք ստեղծելու համար, ոչ միայն իր տնտեսական, այլև քաղաքական և ռազմական անվտանգության ապահովման նպատակով։

«Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժման առաջնորդ, Պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար գեներալ-մայոր Արշակ Կարապետյանն է այս գաղափարն առաջ քաշողներից մեկը՝ նշելով, որ Հայաստանի համար կարևորագույն նշանակություն ունի Հայաստան-Ռուսաստան-Իրան առանցքը, առավել ևս՝ այդ առանցքը շատ ավելի ամուր և պինդ կարող է լինել, եթե կնքվի ոչ միայն քաղաքական և ռազմաքաղաքական, այլ հենց տնտեսական նպատակներով։ Դա Հայաստանին հնարավորություն կտա առավել զարգանալ և ավելի ամուր ու անվտանգ լինել։
