Медиазона-ն և BBC-ի ռուսական ծառայությունը կամավորների խմբի հետ միասին կարողացել են բաց աղբյուրների հիման վրա պարզել 56452 ռուս զինվորականների անունները, ովքեր մահացել են Ուկրաինա լայնամասշտաբ ներխուժման ժամանակ:

Ինչպես շեշտում են լրագրողները, ռուսական հաստատված կորուստների շաբաթական ցուցանիշները կրկին աճում են, ինչը կարող է լինել Խարկովի ուղղությամբ Ռուսաստանի շարունակվող հարձակման հետևանք։ Այսպիսով, վերջին երկու շաբաթվա ընթացքում նրանք հաստատել են ևս 1689 մարդու մահը։

Կորուստների իրական թիվը միանշանակ ավելին է, քան լրագրողների սահմանած թվերը։ Նրանք նշում են, որ հիմնվում են միայն բաց տվյալների վրա, որոնք հնարավոր է ստուգել՝ պաշտոնյաների և լրատվամիջոցների հաղորդագրությունները, զոհերի հարազատների հրապարակումները և գերեզմանատների տեղեկությունները։

Բացի այդ, նշված թիվը չի ներառում Վագներ ՊՄԿ-ի մահացած 19547 վարձկանների ցուցակի անունների մեծ մասը, որոնք վերլուծել են նաև BBC-ի ռուսական ծառայությունը և Mediazona-ն։ Լրագրողները, վկայակոչելով իրենց տրամադրության տակ գտնվող փաստաթղթերը հինգ միլիոն ռուբլու փոխհատուցման վճարումների վերաբերյալ, պարզել են, որ 2022-2023 թվականներին Վագների ՊՄԿ-ն ռուսական գաղութներում հավաքագրել է 48,366 բանտարկյալի, որոնցից ավելի քան 17 հազարը մահացել են 2023 թվականին Բախմուտի համար մղվող մարտերում:
