ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը դուրս չի գալիս 2024 թվականի նախագահական մրցավազքից՝ չնայած նախկին նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ հեռուստաբանավեճում նրա ելույթից հետո ծագած հարցերին։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Սպիտակ տան մամուլի քարտուղար Կարին Ժան Պիերը։

«Մենք չենք ասում, որ տեսածից հետո ծագած հարցերն անարդար են: Դա վատ գիշեր էր: Մենք ամեն տարի նրա առողջական վիճակի վերաբերյալ բժշկական եզրակացություններ ենք տրամադրել: Ինչ վերաբերում է կոգնիտիվ թեստին, ապա նրա բժիշկները կարծում են, որ դրա կարիքը չկա», - նշել է Ժան Պիերը։

Նրա խոսքով՝ Սպիտակ տանը հասկանում են հանրության անհանգստությունը նախագահի ելույթից հետո, սակայն Բայդենը չի պատրաստվում դուրս գալ նախագահական մրցավազքից։

Ժան Պիերը նաև պնդում է, որ բանավեճի օրն ԱՄՆ առաջնորդը որևէ դեղամիջոց չի ընդունել։ Միևնույն ժամանակ նա ընդունել է Բայդենի տարիքով լինելու ու դանդաղկոտության փաստը, սակայն հավելել, որ ամերիկյան վարչակազմում ոչ ոք ոչինչ չի թաքցնում նախագահի վիճակի մասին։

Ինչ վերաբերում է ԱՄՆ նախագահի կոգնիտիվ կարողություններին, ապա Սպիտակ տան խոսնակը շեշտել է, որ Բայդենը չունի դեգեներատիվ հիվանդություններ, թուլամտություն, Ալցհեյմերի հիվանդություն կամ նմանատիպ այլ խնդիրներ։
