Oxford PV-ի ՖՎ ինժեներները ստեղծել են տանդեմ արևային մարտկոց, որը միավորում է ավանդական սիլիցիումային բջիջը պերովսկիտ նյութի հետ, գրում է ixbt.com-ը: Տանդեմ արևային մարտկոցները, որոնք համատեղում են պերովսկիտը և սիլիցիումը, ունեն էներգիայի փոխակերպման ավելի բարձր արդյունավետության ներուժ, քան ավանդական սիլիցիումային արևային մարտկոցները: Դա պայմանավորված է նրանով, որ պերովսկիտը կարող է էներգիա կլանել սպեկտրի կապույտ և ուլտրամանուշակագույն մասերից, մինչդեռ սիլիցիումն ավելի լավ է կլանել էներգիան սպեկտրի կարմիր և ինֆրակարմիր մասերից: Oxford PV պերովսկիտ սիլիցիումային արևային մարտկոցը հասել է 26,9 % արդյունավետության, ինչը 1,9 %-ով գերազանցում է նմանատիպ չափի լավագույն ներկայիս սիլիցիումային վահանակներին:

Oxford PV-ի նոր արևային մարտկոցը դեռ վաճառքում չէ, սակայն ընկերությունը նախատեսում է արտադրությունը սկսել այս տարի: Ակնկալվում է, որ տեխնոլոգիան կիրառություն կգտնի լայն շրջանակներում, ներառյալ բնակելի շենքերը, առևտրային ձեռնարկությունները և լայնածավալ արևային էլեկտրակայանները:

Տնատերերը, ձեռնարկությունները և կոմունալ ծառայությունները կարող են ակնկալել մինչև 20 % ավելի շատ էներգիա միևնույն մակերեսից, ինչը ոչ միայն նվազեցնում է տեղադրման ծախսերը, այլ նաև կարող է զգալի ներդրում լինել գլոբալ էներգետիկ անցման մեջ, ասել է Դեյվիդ Ուորդը:

Oxford PV-ի արևային մարտկոցների նոր ռեկորդի մասին հայտարարությունը տեղի է ունեցել մի քանի օր անց այն բանից հետո, երբ Չինաստանում հետազոտողները սահմանել են էներգիայի փոխակերպման արդյունավետության ռեկորդ՝ 34,6 %, նմանապես օգտագործելով տանդեմ պերովսկիտ-սիլիցիումային արևային բջիջներ: Սակայն այդ ցուցանիշը ձեռք է բերվել միայն խիստ վերահսկվող լաբորատոր պայմաններում և հեռու է առևտրայնացումից: «Վերջին տասնամյակի ընթացքում մեր թիմն անխոնջ ցուցադրել է պերովսկիտի ներուժը սիլիցիումային տանդեմ արևային բջիջներում սահմանելով և գերազանցելով արդյունավետության ռեկորդները: Այժմ մենք ձեռնարկում ենք հաջորդ քայլերն այդ բարձր արդյունավետ արևային տեխնոլոգիան առևտրայնացնելու համար», - պարզաբանել է Oxford PV-ի տեխնիկական տնօրեն Քրիս Քեյսը: Նշենք, որ ընկերությունն արդեն արտադրական գործարան է բացել Բրանդենբուրգ Հավելում (Գերմանիա):  Քանի որ արևային մարտկոցների արդյունավետությունը շարունակում է բարելավվել, իսկ ծախսերը նվազում են, արևային էներգիան դառնում է էներգիայի ավելի մրցունակ և ծախսարդյունավետ աղբյուր: Այս նոր տեխնոլոգիան էլ ունի ներուժ  բավարարելու մաքուր և վերականգնվող էներգիայի աճող համաշխարհային պահանջարկը:
