2024 թվականի ամառը դարձել է դիտարկումների պատմության ընթացքում ամենաշոգը։ Ըստ Կոպեռնիկոսի կլիմայի փոփոխության ծառայության՝ այս ամառը եղել է նաև ամենատաքը Եվրոպայում՝ ըստ Ցելսիուսի սանդղակի 1,54 աստիճանով գերազանցելով 1991-2020 թվականների միջին ջերմաստիճանը և 2022 թվականի նախորդ ռեկորդը։ Այս մասին տեղեկանում ենք BBC-ից։

Օգոստոսը դարձել է 14 ամսվա ընթացքում 13-րդ ամիսը, որի ընթացքում մոլորակի միջին ջերմաստիճանը մինչարդյունաբերական ջերմաստիճանից բարձր է եղել 1,5 աստիճանով։

Այս տարի մոլորակի միջին ջերմաստիճանն, ընդհանուր առմամբ, 0,7 աստիճանով բարձր է եղել 1991-2020 թվականների միջին ջերմաստիճանից։ Կոպեռնիկոսի կլիմայի փոփոխության ծառայության համաձայն՝ շատ մեծ հավանականություն կա, որ 2024 թվականը կդառնա ամբողջ աշխարհում երբևէ գրանցված ամենաշոգ տարին դիտարկումների պատմության ընթացքում։

Ըստ ծառայության տնօրեն Սամանթա Բերջեսի՝ ջերմաստիճանի հետ կապված ծայրահեղ եղանակային երևույթները, որոնք դիտվել են այս ամառ, ավելի ու ավելի կսաստկանան։ 

Թեև մարդկային գործունեությունը եղել է գլոբալ ջերմաստիճանի բարձրացման հիմնական պատճառը, սակայն 2023-ից մինչև 2024 թվականները ռեկորդային շոգը սաստկացել է նաև Էլ Նինյո կլիմայական երևույթի պատճառով:

BBC-ն նշում է, որ Էլ Նինյոն, որը ծովի մակերևույթի ջերմաստիճանի բնական տաքացումն է Խաղաղ օվկիանոսի արևելյան հատվածում, դիտվել է 2023 թվականի հունիսից մինչև 2024 թվականի մայիսը: Այս ընթացքում ծովի մակերևույթի ավելի բարձր ջերմաստիճանն ավելի շատ ջերմություն է ավելացրել մթնոլորտին: Չնայած այն այժմ ավարտվել է, սակայն գլոբալ ջերմաստիճանի բարձրացման մեջ նրա դերը կազդի ընդհանուր 2024 թվականի վրա:
