Իրանը կշարունակի աջակցել տարածաշրջանում տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցությունների ապաշրջափակմանը, սակայն դեմ է միջազգային սահմանների ցանկացած փոփոխության։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Իրանի ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Նասեր Քանաանին։

Ինչպես նշել է իրանցի դիվանագետը, Թեհրանը հանդես է գալիս նաև Երևանի և Բաքվի միջև խաղաղ բանակցությունների գործընթացի խթանման օգտին։

«Կովկասում խաղաղությունը ձեռնտու է տարածաշրջանի բոլոր երկրներին։ Տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցությունների ապաշրջափակումը կօգնի ամրապնդել խաղաղությունը տարածաշրջանում։ Պուտինի Բաքու այցից հետո Կովկասի, տարանցիկ միջանցքների և առաջարկվող միջանցքների մասին հրապարակված լուրերի և վերլուծությունների հիմքում ընկած են Լավրովի նույն հարցազրույցը և ՌԴ ԱԳՆ ներկայացուցչի հայտարարությունները։ Այս հարցը և այս մեկնաբանությունները տարբեր տեսակետների և գաղափարների տեղիք են տվել, որոնք երբեմն հակասում են Իրանի և մեր որոշ հարևանների միջև զարգացող հարաբերություններին, և պետք է ընդգծել, որ դուք պետք է հղում կատարեք այս մեկնաբանությունների ստույգ տեքստին և ուշադրություն դարձնեք այս հարցի վերլուծությանն ու մեկնաբանությանը։ Իրանը կշարունակի աջակցել տարածաշրջանում տնտեսական կապերի և տրանսպորտային ուղիների խցանումների վերացմանը և Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության ծրագրի առաջխաղացմանը։ Կովկասում խաղաղությունը բխում է տարածաշրջանի շահերից։ Տարածաշրջանից դուրս որոշ տերություններ և վարչակարգեր, որոնց շահերը չեն տուժում Կովկասի անկայունությունից ու ճգնաժամից, ցանկանում են տարածաշրջանի երկրների հաշվին Կովկասը վերածել անկայունության տարածաշրջանի, և նրանց առաջնահերթությունը ոչ թե խաղաղությունն է, այլ նրանք ձգտում են ապակայունացնել տարածաշրջանը»,- ասել է Քանաանին:
