Տանիքների այգիները չինացիներին կարող են ապահովել նրանց անհրաժեշտ բանջարեղենի վեցերորդ մասը, իսկ արևային մարտկոցները՝ էլեկտրաէներգիայի մինչև հինգ տոկոսը

Եթե ​​Չինաստանի 124 քաղաքների հարթ տանիքների մոտավորապես 60 տոկոսը հագեցած լինեն ջերմոցային այգիներով, իսկ մնացած տանիքները, ներառյալ բոլոր թեք տանիքները, արևային մարտկոցներով, ապա դա կապահովի քաղաքաբնակներին անհրաժեշտ բանջարեղենի մոտ 15 տոկոսը և էլեկտրաէներգիայի մոտ 5 տոկոսը: Տանիքների նման օգտագործումը նաև ներուժ ունի ավելացնելու երկրի ՀՆԱ-ն 1,7 տոկոսով, նվազեցնել ածխածնի արտանետումները և պահպանել վարելահողերը: Նման եզրակացություններ են պարունակվում Nature Cities ամսագրում հրապարակված հոդվածում, գրում է nplus1.ru-ն։

Քաղաքների տարածքները սահմանափակ են, բայց դրանցում շենքերի թիվը միայն ավելանում է, և ավելի ու ավելի հաճախ են մարդիկ օգտագործում տանիքները հանրային խնդիրներ լուծելու համար։ Կարելի է դրանք կանաչապատել, դրանց վրա կազմակերպել սեզոնային հանրային այգիներ կամ տեղադրել արևային մարտկոցներ։ Առավել հաճախ քաղաքաշինական պլանավորումը կենտրոնանում է տանիքների օգտագործման մեկ ձևի վրա և անտեսում տարբեր տարածքների միջև տարբեր նպատակային օգտագործումների բաշխման հնարավորությունները:

Ռուի Յանը Ուհանի համալսարանից  Ավստրալիայից, Գերմանիայից, Չինաստանից և Նիդեռլանդներից իր գործընկերների հետ միասին գնահատել է Չինաստանում տանիքների օգտագործման ներուժը սննդի և էներգիայի արտադրության համար: Նրանք հավաքել են տվյալներ 124 խոշոր քաղաքների 13 միլիոն տանիքների մասին հաշվի առնելով տարածաշրջանային բնութագրերը, կապիտալ ծախսերը, գործառնական ծախսերը և բանջարանոցներից (բացօթյա և փակ ջերմոցներ) և արևային մարտկոցներից ստացված եկամուտները 30 տարվա պոտենցիալ օգտագործման համար: Օգտագործելով կյանքի ցիկլի գնահատումը, հեղինակները գնահատել են ածխածնի արտանետումները, ջրի սպառումը, տանիքների վերազինման համար անհրաժեշտ նյութերը և  տարբերակել են հարթ տանիքները թեք տանիքներից՝ արբանյակային պատկերների միջոցով:

Հետևյալով հարաբերակցությունը պարզվել է, որ օպտիմալ է հարթ տանիքների տարածքի 61–62 տոկոսն օգտագործել բանջարեղենի աճեցման համար, իսկ մնացած մասը (ներառյալ բոլոր թեք տանիքները) օգտագործել արևային մարտկոցների տեղադրման համար։ Դա կպահպանի հնարավոր օգուտների 50-83 տոկոսը՝ մեկ տարբերակի ընտրության 0-29 տոկոսի համեմատ: Հնարավոր օգուտները ներառում են ածխածնի արտանետումների կրճատումը 161 միլիոն տոննա CO2-ով, սննդի և էլեկտրաէներգիայի ապահովումը, 2600 քառակուսի կիլոմետր վարելահողերի պահպանումը և մոտ երկու միլիարդ յուանի ֆինանսական եկամուտը կամ ազգային ՀՆԱ-ի 1,7 տոկոսը:

Միջին հաշվով, տանիքները բանջարանոցներով և արևային մարտկոցներով հագեցնելը հաշվարկված հարաբերակցությամբ կապահովի բնակչության բանջարեղենի կարիքների 15,2–15,5 տոկոսը (տարբեր քաղաքներում 0,8–ից 99 տոկոս) և էլեկտրաէներգիայի պահանջարկի 4,9–5,1 տոկոսը (տարբեր քաղաքներում 0,2–ից 31 տոկոս)։ Հեղինակները նշել են, որ տանիքների օգտագործումն աշխարհագրորեն անհավասար է լինելու՝ հարավային քաղաքներում բանջարեղենի արտադրությունն անարդյունավետ կլինի, և խորհուրդ է տրվում նախապատվությունը տալ արևային մարտկոցներին։ Կարևոր է նաև հաշվի առնել այն, որ տանիքների այդ օգտագործումը կպահանջի տարեկան 136 միլիոն տոննա ջրի լրացուցիչ սպառում, որը համարժեք է քաղաքային ներքին սպառման միջինը 1,6 տոկոսին, սակայն հյուսիսային չոր քաղաքներում դա կարող է կազմել մունիցիպալ ջրի մինչև 14,7 տոկոսը։

Արևային մարտկոցները կարող են տեղադրվել ոչ միայն տանիքների վրա, այլ նաև ջրամբարների մակերեսին։ Նման ջրային մարմիններում օրգանական նյութերը քայքայվում են և մեթան արտազատում մթնոլորտ, սակայն ապագայում լողացող արևային վահանակները կարող են մինչև կիսով չափ կրճատել ածխածնի արտանետումները հիդրոէլեկտրակայաններից:
