«Եթե պատերազմ է, դա բոլորիս պատերազմն է, չկա՝ «ես մի տեղ սուրճ եմ խմում, դա ինձ չի վերաբերվում»:

Մի վախի սահման կա, որը երբ անցնում ես, էլ ոչինչ քեզ չի վախեցնում, ոչ արկի պայթյունը, ոչ վերևում անօդաչու սարքը:

Այդ ժամանակ չես էլ ուզում երգել, բայց երգում ես, որովհետև տղաներին է պետք: Պատերազմից հետո, շատ ամիսներ հետո ես չեմ երգել, կիթառ էլ չեմ վերցրել ձեռքս: Շատ ամիսներ պետք եղան, որ կարողանանք մի քիչ հետ գալ: Իմ երգերից որևէ երգ մտքիս չէր գալիս, նույնիսկ՝ «Հերոս տղերքը մեր»: Միայն Արթուր Գրիգորյանի «Մինչև վերջ» երգն էր այդ օրերին մտքիս»,- «Կյանքի ուղիներով» հաղորդման շրջանակներում պատմել է երգիչ Արսեն Սաֆարյանը:

Արսեն Սաֆարյանը նշել է, որ պատերազմից հետո միայն հոգեբանական խնդիրներ չէին առաջացել, այլ նաև առողջական: Որոշ ժամանակ անց երգիչը չէր կարողանում քայլել, եղան վիրահատություններ ու դաժան ցավեր:

«3 վիրահատություն ու հետվիրահատական պահեր ունեցա: Ինձ թվում է պատերազմի դաշտից ոչ մեկ էլ հետ չի գալիս, դու ռազմի դաշտից հետ ես գալիս, բայց պատերազմը քեզ հետ է մնում: Երբեք դուրս չի գալիս: Միակ բանը, որ մտածում էի՝ ոտքի կանգնեմ, որովհետև ընտանիք ունեմ»,- նշել է երգիչը:
