Фильм армянского режиссера Шогакат Варданян «1489» о 44-дневной Арцахской войне признан победителем Международного фестиваля документальных фильмов в Риме. Об этом режиссер написала в своем Facebook.

«Это большая честь и большая ответственность», — написала она.

Стоит отметить, что картина не была представлена армянской национальной киноакадемией на «Оскар», несмотря на то, что в 2023 г. получила главный приз Амстердамского международного фестиваля документальных фильмов (IDFA), а также главный приз IDFA за лучший фильм на самом престижном в мире кинофестивале документального кино.

Премьера киноленты «1489» состоялась 13 ноября прошлого года на фестивале документального кино в Амстердаме. Название фильма – это номер, присвоенный телу (еще до опознания) ее без вести пропавшего во время 44-дневной войны в октябре 2020 года брата Согомона. Режиссер сняла на камеру телефона весь процесс поисков и задокументировала испытания, через которые пришлось пройти ей и ее родным. Через полгода останки ее брата были найдены, но для идентификации необходимо было провести ДНК-тест. Семье пришлось ждать заключения экспертизы полтора года.
