Պատմական հայրենիքից հրաժարումը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի կարևորագույն թիրախներից մեկն է։ Ոչ միայն ՀՀ սահմանն է Հայաստանի Կառավարության ղեկավարը որոշել գծել ու հստակեցնել՝ առավելապես ի վնաս Հայաստանի, այլ նաև պատմաական Հայաստանի քարտեզն է խմբագրում ու ներկայացնում նորովի։ 

Այսպես, փորձելով պատասխանել Ալիևի՝ նախօրեին հնչեցրած հոխորտանքներին, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն այսօր հայտարարեց, որ  «Արևմտյան Հայաստանն Արմավիրն է, Թալինն է, Մարալիկն է. սրանից դուրս չկա և չի կարող լինել Արևմտյան Հայաստան: Իսկ ահա Արևելյան Հայաստանը Իջևանն է, Բերդն է, Ճամբարակն է, Վարդենիսն է, Ջերմուկն է, Գորիսն է, Կապանն է, Ներքին Հանդն է, Նռնաձորն է. սրանից դուրս չկա և չի կարող լինել Արևելյան Հայաստան»:

Փաստացի, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հրաժարվում է պատմական արդարությունից, Հայ Դատից, և ընդհանրապես, մեր ինքնությունից, հայից ու իրական, կամ որ իր խոսքով է՝ պատմական Հայաստանից։ Հրաժարումների շարքը, վստահաբար, այսքանով չի ավարտվի, մի օր էլ գուցե, ըստ ցանկության, հրաժարվի բոլոր այն հայերից, որոնք կհամարձակվեն Կարսը, Վանը կամ Ալաշկերտն իրենց հայրենիքը համարել։

«Փաշինյանի այս հայտարարությանը եթերային բառերով արձագանքել ուղղակի չեմ կարող։ Վաղն էլ իր ընտանիքից ու սրբություններից կհրաժարվի, եթե այդպիսիք ունի։ Բայց եթե իր ընտանիքից հրաժարվել կարող է, ապա պատմական Հայաստանից, մեր հայրենիքից հրաժարվել չի կարող»,- MediaHub-ի հետ զրույցում Փաշինյանին այսպես արձագանքեց ԱԺ «Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Գեղամ Մանուկյանը։

Նա նկատեց՝ Փաշինյանի «մտքի լուծը» բավականին ակտիվ է, և յուրաքանչյուր բառին արձագանքելն ուղղակի անշնորհակալ գործ է։

«Այդ մարդը մտքի լուծ ունի, հասկանո՞ւմ եք։ Ինչ ասես կարող է ասել։ Բայց պետք է հասկանալ, որ հայ ժողովուրդը չի հրաժարվում ու չի էլ հրաժարվի իր պատմական հայրենիքից, իր պահանջատիրությունից»,- վստահ նկատեց պատգամավորը։

Հարցին՝ արդյո՞ք ՀՅԴ-ն որևէ կերպ անդրադառնալու է այս հայտարարությանը, Գեղամ Մանուկյանն արձագանքեց՝ կրկնելով միտքը, որ Փաշինյանի «մտքի լուծը» այնքան առատ է, որ իմաստ չկա ամեն անգամ արձագանքել։ 

Պատգամավորը վստահեցրեց, որ իրենք շարունակելու են պատմական արդարությունը վերականգնելուն ուղղված աշխատանքները։

Երբ հիշեցրինք, որ դրա դեմ Փաշինյանն անգամ ընտանեկան փոդքասթով է սկսել պայքարել, և իրական ու պատմական Հայաստանների հակադրումն անգամ իրենց՝ ամուսին-կին զրույցներում կա, Գեղամ Մանուկյանն արձագանքեց․ «Դե, ավելի լավ, թող իրենք իրենցով բավարարվեն, իրենք իրենց հարցեր տան, իրենք իրենց պատասխանեն։ Կարևորը հասկանալն է, որ իրենք հայ ժողովրդի ձայնը չեն բարձրացնում, և նրա կարծիքը չեն հնչեցնում»։
