Բաքվի բանտից հրապարակված Ռուբեն Վարդանյանի հալածված և խոշտանգված դեմքը ներկայացնում է հայ ժողովրդի հավաքական իրավիճակը ջարդված, ընկճված, կոտրված, հիասթափված և անօգնական, բայց այդ իրավիճակում մենք հայտնվել ենք մեր խելքից և մենք իրավունք չունենք այսպես շարունակելու:

Մենք պարտավոր ենք, որպես ազգ, և ինքնուրույն ժողովուրդ խելքներս հավաքել գլուխներս և փորձել ուղղել կորացած մեր մեջքը, իսկ դա անելու ընդամենը մեկ ճանապարհ կա` մենք պետք է Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը փայփայենք, այսինքն` լուծենք մեր պետության անվտանգության խնդիրը, որից հետո նոր անդրադառնանք մնացած բոլոր պրոբլեմներին , որից հետո միայն հասկանանք, թե ինչպես ենք կառուցելու նաև բարեկեցիկ և արդար պետություն, որպեսզի կարողանանք անվտանգ, բարեկեցիկ և արդար պետություն փոխանցենք մեր երեխաներին, որպեսզի նրանք այլևս ընկճված, խոշտանգված և հուսահատված իրականությունում չապրեն։
 
Այսօր մեր քաղաքական դաշտը, քաղաքական գործիչները և ողջ ժողովուրդը ամեն բան պետք է թողնի մի կողմ և զբաղվեն միմիայն Հայաստանի անվտանգության խնդրի լուծմամբ, սա ամենակարևոր և գոյաբանական խնդիրն է, որ այսօր ծառացած է մեր առջև, մենք չենք կարող ունենալ ավելի կարևոր և թանկ գործ, քան Հայաստանի Հանրապետության անվտանգության խնդրի լուծումն է, հակառակ պարագայում մենք շարունակելու ենք որպես ժողովուրդ ապրել այն նկարի տրամաբանությամբ և ազդեցությամբ, որը հրապարակվում է Բաքվի դատարանից։
 
Ի դեպ, ընդամենը մի քանի տարի առաջ մեր ժողովրդի հավաքական կերպարը ներկայանում էր Պետոյի, Մոնթեի, Դուշման Վարդանի հաղթած ու այլ հերոսական կերպարներով։
