Մեծ Բրիտանիան 2022 թվականից կրճատել է Էստոնիայում տեղակայված իր զորքերի թիվը` 1650-ից հասցնելով 1000-ի, և այնտեղ 10-ից քիչ տանկ ունի, գրում է Times-ը։

Միևնույն ժամանակ, ինչպես նշվում է, 2022 թվականի հունիսին այն ժամանակ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի պաշտպանության նախարար Բեն Ուոլեսը հայտարարեց, որ լրացուցիչ 1000 բրիտանացի զինվոր կուղարկվի Էստոնիա՝ բրիգադի մակարդակով մոտ 2 650 հոգանոց ուժ ստեղծելու համար։

«Պաշտպանության նախարարության աղբյուրները հայտնել են, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան Էստոնիայում ունի մոտ 1000 բրիտանացի զինվորական, ինչը 650-ով կրճատվել է 2022 թվականի ապրիլից, երբ Էստոնիան ուներ 1650 զինվորական: Տեղական աղբյուրից մեկը նաև հաստատել է, որ երկրում կա 10-ից քիչ բրիտանական Challenger տանկ՝ ի հավելումն այլ զինուժի», - գրում է թերթը:

Բացի այդ, Էստոնիայի պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար և ներկայիս Եվրախորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Ռիհո Տերասը Times Radio-ին ասել է, որ Բրիտանիան, ըստ երևույթին, չի կարող հավաքել բրիգադի չափի ուժեր, սովորաբար մոտ 3000-5000 զինվորական՝ մասնակցելու մայիսին Բալթյան երկրներում նախատեսված «Ոզնի» զորավարժություններին: Նրա խոսքով՝ բրիտանական բանակը ֆինանսավորման հետ կապված խնդիրներ ունի։
