Հիշում եմ, որ Երեւանում Սովետական միության տարիներին կանգնած էր մի հսկա արձան, որը խորհրդանշում էր հենց աշխատանքն ու աշխատավոր հայ ժողովրդին, ցավոք սրտի այդ արձանը հեռացվեց Երրորդ հանրապետության առաջին իսկ տարիներին։

Ես հիմա առաջարկում եմ վերականգնել աշխատավորի արձանը, կարծում եմ` մեզանում պետք է մի սիմվոլ, որը խորհրդանշում է հենց գիտելիքն ու աշխատասիրությունը և հայտնում իմ պատրաստակամությունը ֆինանսավորելու տվյալ նախագիծը եթե այն կստանա պետական աջակցություն։

Մայիսի 1-ը ինձ համար միաժամանակ և՛ աշխատանքի տոն է, և՛ սոցիալական արդարության գաղափարի խորհրդանիշ։ Սոցիալական արդարությունը չի նշանակում բոլորի բացարձակ հավասարություն, այլ հնարավորությունների հասանելիություն, որտեղ՝

- Յուրաքանչյուր ոք կարող է հասնել հաջողության իր աշխատանքի ու կարողությունների շնորհիվ

- Հասարակության սոցիալական շերտերի մեջ պետք է ատելություն չլինի,

- Հաջողությունը որոշվում է գիտելիքով ու աշխատասիրությամբ, ոչ թե թայֆայական համակարգերով, ծանոթ-խնամի-բարեկամ կապերով կամ քաղաքական պատկանելիությամբ։

Երրորդ հանրապետության ժամանակ այս սկզբունքի բացակայությունը դարձավ հիմնական խնդիրներից մեկը։

Մեր խնդիրն է ստեղծել հասարակություն, որտեղ՝

- Քաղաքական էլիտան կնպաստի սոցիալական արդարության հաստատմանը,

- Երեխաները կունենան հնարավորություն զարգանալ իրենց ընդունակություններին համապատասխան,

- Արդարության մթնոլորտը, անվտանգությունից հետո, ամենակարևոր մտածողությունն է, որը կդառնա պետության հիմնասյուներից մեկը։

Այսօր մենք պարտավոր ենք աշխատել այն Հայաստանի համար, որտեղ յուրաքանչյուր աշխատավոր կարող է ազնիվ աշխատանքի շնորհիվ ապահովել իր ապագան։

Շնորհավոր աշխատավորի տոնը բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր իրենց աշխատանքով կառուցում են մեր երկրի ապագան։
