Հայաստանում ինքնասպանությունների թիվը բարձրանում է ոչ թե այն պատճառով, որ մարդիկ «լավ են ապրում» կամ «շատ փող ունեն»։ Երջանիկ մարդը չի վազում դեպի մահը։ Բարձր աշխատավարձ ստացողը, ով ապահով կյանք ունի, ինքն իրեն չի տանում գերեզման։ Մեր իրականությունը այլ է․ ինքնասպանությունների զգալի մասը տղամարդկանց է, որոնց քաշել է խաղամոլության ճահիճը։

Դուք պատկերացնո՞ւմ եք, ինչ է նշանակում օրերով կանգնել բուքմեյքերական գրասենյակում կամ առցանց կազինոներում, կործանել ոչ միայն սեփական աշխատավարձը, այլև ընտանիքի սննդի փողը, երեխայի ուսման վճարը, նույնիսկ տունը։ Սկզբում մտածում են՝ «մի վերջին խաղ, հետո կդադարեմ», հետո արդեն պարտքի տոկոսները խեղդում են, սպառնալիքներով զանգեր են գալիս վարկատուներից, և մարդը կանգնում է պատի տակ։

Այդ պահին նա իրեն ոչ թե պարտք ունեցող մարդ է զգում, այլ «կորած» մարդ։ Եվ հենց այդ զգացողությունն է, որ հարյուրավոր տղամարդկանց մղում է դեպի ճակատագրական քայլը։ Պետությունն այս ամենին դիտում է կողքից, մինչ օնլայն խաղատները օր ու գիշեր գովազդում են իրենց թունավոր «բախտի» տոմսերը։

Խաղամոլությունը մարդուն գողանում է դեռ կենդանի ժամանակ։ Իսկ երբ արդեն ինքնասպանության լուրը հայտնվում է լրատվամիջոցներում, շատերն ասում են․ «Չէ՞ր կարող դիմանալ»։ Ոչ, նա չպետք է դիմանար, նա չպետք է հասներ այդ կետի։ Բայց նրան թողեցին միայնակ՝ պարտքերի, վախի և ամոթի հետ։
