«Ինձ համար առանձնակի ցավալի ու մտահոգիչ է հետևել, որ հանրային հստակ պահանջ չի ձևավորվում մեր գերիների վերադարձի շուրջ։ Հատկապես Թրամփի կողմից դրա մասին խոսելուց հետո, ես ավելի քան վստահ եմ՝ որոշակի համառ աշխատանքը չի կարող անարդյունք մնալ։ Ես դրա մասին շարունակ գրում էի նաև հանդիպումից առաջ։ Եկեք ընդունենք, որ շատ դժվար է պատկերացնել խաղաղություն այն պայմաններում, երբ մեր հայրենակիցները անցնում են շինծու «դատավարությունների» միջով, որտեղ գլխավոր մեղադրանքը հենց ՀՀ-ի դեմ է։ Ընդ որում, օգոստոսի 8-ի հանդիպումից հետո այդ շինծու «դատավարությունները» շարունակվում են։

Զարմանալի չէ, որ Թրամփի՝ 23 հայ քրիստոնյա գերիների ազատ արձակման պահանջով Ալիևին դիմելու տեսանյութից հետո, լռություն է նաև ադրբեջանական դաշտում։

Այո, Ալիևին բարդ է լինելու մերժել Թրամփի այդ խնդրանքը կամ պահանջը։ Դրա համար պետք է հասնել նրան, որ այդ պահանջը հստակ դրվի Ալիևի առաջ։ Ես շատ կուզեի, որ հենց այդ հարցի շուրջ քննարկումը գերակա լիներ հանրային դաշտում, քանի որ դա իսկապես կարևոր քայլ կլիներ հնարավոր խաղաղության կառուցման ճանապարհին»,- գրել է նա:
