Գյումրիում, իբր անկարգությունների փաստով հարուցված քրեական գործով, մասնակից 19 անձանց նկատմամբ կալանքը որպես խափանման միջոց կիրառելու վերաբերյալ միջնորդություն է ներկայացվել դատարան։ Շատերին արդեն կալանավորել են, այդ թվում՝ փաստաբան, «Մեր ձևով» շարժման անդամ Ռուբեն Մխիթարյանին, Գյումրիի քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանի եղբոր թոռանը՝ Գևորգ Ղուկասյանին։ Կալանավորվելու ենթակա անձանց թվում նաև մեկ անչափահաս կա։ Գյումրու համայնքապետարանի մոտ հոկտեմբերի 20-ին տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունների հետևանքով 37 անձ է ձերբակալվել, որոնցից 29-ի նկատմամբ հարուցվել է հանրային քրեական հետապնդում՝ զանգվածային անկարգություններին մասնակցելու, պաշտոնատար անձի օրինական, ծառայողական կամ քաղաքական գործունեությանը միջամտելու, ինչպես նաև արդարադատության իրականացմանը կամ գործի քննությանը միջամտելու հոդվածներով։

Ոչ ոք չէր կասկածում, որ փաշինյանական իշխանությունը կսկսի հարձակվել Գյումրիի օրինական ընտրված քաղաքապետի և նրա թիմակիցների վրա, սակայն այն դաժանությունը, որով հետապնդվում են տարբեր բողոքի ակցիաների մասնակիցները, վկայում է, որ խնդիրն առնչվում է ոչ միայն ընդդիմադիր առաջնորդներին, այլև հասարակ քաղաքացիներին, որոնց վախեցնելու համար Փաշինյանը կանգ չի առնում։ Տասնյակ գյումրեցիների կալանավորելով, նա բոլոր քաղաքացիներին ուղերձ է հղում՝ ցույց տալով, որ ընդդիմության հավաքներին մասնակցելու կամ ակտիվ լինելու դեպքում կալանք կարող է սպառնալ յուրաքանչյուրին։ Սա հենց այն է, ինչ կոչվում է բռնապետություն, նույնիսկ եթե այն փորձեն «ժողովրդավարության բաստիոն» անվան տակ ներկայացնել։ Փաստն այն է, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Հայաստանում այսօր ստեղծում է բռնապետական ռեժիմ։
