Трамп поддержал законопроект о вторичных санкциях против России

Дональд Трамп заявил, что представители Республиканской партии работают над законопроектом о санкциях против любой страны, ведущей бизнес с Россией, передает Reuters.

«Как вы знаете, это было мое предложение, так что любая страна, которая ведет бизнес с Россией, будет подвергнута очень жестким санкциям. Они могут добавить туда и Иран», — сказал Трамп, передает Reuters.

Двухпартийный законопроект о санкциях против России, авторами стали республиканец Линдси Грэм и демократ Ричард Блюменталь, был представлен весной 2025 года. Он предусматривает пошлины в размере 500% на импорт из стран, покупающих российскую нефть, нефтепродукты, природный газ или уран. Также подразумеваются санкции против любой страны, покупающей уран из России. Законопроект поддержали более 80 сенаторов из 100.

Один из авторов законопроекта Линдси Грэм летом давал понять, что Трамп готов поддержать его, и документ будет рассмотрен после перерыва в работе сената. Однако затем в августе последовала встреча Трампа с Путиным на Аляске, а еще позже сенат, как писал Bloomberg, «поставил на паузу» рассмотрение законопроекта как минимум до встречи Дональда Трампа и Владимира Путина в Будапеште — которая в итоге была отменена.
