svpressa.ru-ն իր «Պառակտման մակարդակը բարձր է» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ Հայաստանի աշխարհագրական դիրքը պարտավորեցնում է պահպանել աշխարհաքաղաքական հավասարակշռությունը, բայց Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, կարծես, պարբերաբար մոռանում է դա, svpressa.ru-ին տված հարցազրույցում նշել է քաղաքագետ և «Ազգի ժառանգություն» ՀԿ-ի հիմնադիր Ելենա Շտուլմանը: Նա հիշեցրել է, որ Հայաստանը Արևմտյան Եվրոպա չէ, այլ Հարավային Կովկաս, որտեղ անվտանգությունը որոշվում է ոչ թե ժողովրդավարության հռչակագրերով, այլ Ռուսաստանի, Իրանի, Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի միջև բարդ հավասարակշռությամբ: Խնդիրն այն է, որ Բրյուսելը, Փարիզը, Բեռլինը և Լոնդոնը հեռու են, իսկ Մոսկվան, Անկարան, Բաքուն և Թեհրանը՝ շատ մոտ, և եթե արտաքին քաղաքականությունը վերածվի ոչ թե հավասարակշռության, այլ հուզական աշխարհաքաղաքական շրջադարձի, ապա երկիրը ռիսկի է դիմում կորցնել իր սեփական ինքնիշխանությունը: «Այո, Հայաստանը կարող է զարգացնել հարաբերությունները ԵՄ-ի հետ՝ որպես տնտեսական գործընկեր: Սակայն նպատակը պետք է լինի ոչ թե ցանկացած գնով Արևմուտքի մաս դառնալը, այլ սեփական ինքնությունը պահպանելը՝ որպես պետություն չափազանց բարդ տարածաշրջանում: Հակառակ դեպքում, երկիրը ռիսկի է դիմում դառնալ ոչ թե «կովկասյան Եվրոպա», այլ բուֆերային գոտի Ռուսաստանի, Ադրբեջանի, Իրանի և Թուրքիայի միջև, որտեղ ԵՄ–ն ու ԱՄՆ–ն առաջ են մղում իրենց քաղաքական շահերը: Վերջին տարիների պատմությունն արդեն ցույց է տվել, որ խոշոր խաղացողների միջև աշխարհաքաղաքական դիմակայության դաշտ դարձող պետությունները չափազանց բարձր գին են վճարում», - բացատրել է Շտուլմանը:

Նրա խոսքով, ստեղծված իրավիճակում Մոսկվայի համար շատ ավելի արդյունավետ է շփվել հայ հասարակության կրթված հատվածի հետ, այլ ոչ թե ճնշում գործադրել, քանի որ որոշիչ գործոնը հայ հասարակության դիրքորոշումն է ընտրված քաղաքական ուղու վերաբերյալ: «Ինչպես հիշում ենք, Փաշինյանն իշխանության եկավ 2018 թվականին, այսպես կոչված, «թավշյա հեղափոխության» ալիքի վրա։ Կարևոր է նաև հասկանալ, որ նա երբեք հին հայկական էլիտայի ոգով դասական ռուսամետ առաջնորդ չի եղել», - նշել է Շտուլմանը՝ հավելելով, որ այսօր հայ հասարակության մի մասն իսկապես կարծում է, որ Հայաստանը չափազանց երկար է գոյատևել Ռուսաստանից կախվածության մոդելում։ Եվ հիմա երկրում չափազանց բարձր ներքին պառակտման մակարդակ է։ Ոմանք Փաշինյանին համարում են Մոսկվայի հետ ավանդական դաշինքի փլուզիչ և երկրի անվտանգության համակարգին սպառնացող անձ։ Մյուսները նրան համարում են արդիականացման, բարեփոխումների և քաղաքական ու արտաքին քաղաքական մեկուսացումից դուրս գալու միակ հնարավորություն։ «Եվ այս մոտեցումներից մեկը, վերջնականապես գերակշռելով հայ հասարակության մեջ, կորոշի ոչ միայն Երևանի ապագա ընթացքը, այլ նաև ամբողջ Հարավային Կովկասի ընդհանուր կայունությունը։ Հետևաբար, ազդեցությունը պահպանելու համար «մեր ռուսական արջի» համար շատ ավելի արդյունավետ է մի քանի զգույշ շարժում կատարել իր մեծ, ուժեղ թաթով, քան սպառնալից մռնչալ», - եզրափակել է Շտուլմանը։
