1941 թվականի այս օրը ֆաշիստական Գերմանիան հարձակվեց Սովետական Միության վրա, որը նաև մեր հայրենիքն էր, բայց ես ուզում եմ խոսել այս մեծ պատերազմի՝ Հայրենական պատերազմի քաղաքական կոնտեքստի մասին։

Հարձակվելուց օրեր առաջ Բեռլինում Հիտլերը Սովետական Միության արտգործնախարար Մոլոտովին վստահեցնում էր, որ Գերմանիան չի պատրաստվում պատերազմել Սովետական Միության դեմ, հակառակը՝ ցանկանում է խաղաղություն, բարեկամություն և դաշնակցային հարաբերություններ ունենալ Սովետական Միության հետ, չնայած նրան, որ արդեն զորքեր էր կուտակում Սովետական Միության սահմանին։
Պատերազմը սկսելուց մի քանի օր առաջ Գերմանիայի դեսպանը Մոսկվայում նույն Մոլոտովին վստահեցնում է, որ ինքը ինֆորմացիա չունի, որ Գերմանիան հարձակվելու է Սովետական Միության վրա։

Այս փաստը ևս մեկ անգամ ցույց է տալիս, որ խաղաղության մասին խոսելը դեռ չի նշանակում, որ դու ունես խաղաղություն, որ քո պոտենցիալ թշնամին, հակառակորդը, նույնիսկ այն պետությունը, որը, իբր թե, քո հետ խաղաղություն է ուզում կառուցել, կարող է քեզ մի բան ասել, բայց ընդամենը օրեր անց սկսել քո հետ պատերազմ, սկսել քո նկատմամբ կիրառել մարդկության պատմության ամենադաժան և ամենաանմարդկային գործիքակազմը։
 
Մենք ուղղակի պետք է փորձենք պատմությունից դասեր քաղել, ուսումնասիրել մարդկության պատմության քաղաքական միտքը՝ սխալներից խուսափելու համար։

Խաղաղության մասին խոսելը դեռ չի նշանակում, որ դու ունենալու ես խաղաղություն, խաղաղությունը ձևավորվում է գեոպոլիտիկ մեխանիզմների միջոցով, և կոնկրետ Հայաստանի պարագայում հզոր բանակը, հզոր տնտեսությունը, մեկ բռունցք դառնալը դեռ չափանիշ չէ, որ կարող ենք խաղաղություն կերտել մեր տարածաշրջանում։ Մենք պետք է կարողանանք ճիշտ հաշվել Հայաստանի պետական շահերը, ճիշտ դիրքավորվել գեոպոլիտիկ անվտանգային ճարտարապետության մեջ, որպեսզի կարողանանք մեր ռեգիոնի անվտանգության ճարտարապետությունը և կոնկրետ Հայաստանի անվտանգության ճարտարապետությունը կառուցել։

Սա է պատճառը, որ հաջողակ ու կայացած պետություններում քաղաքականությամբ և հատկապես քաղաքական անալիտիկայով զբաղվում են զարգացած, կրթված, մարդկության ողջ քաղաքական միտքը ուսումնասիրած, անալիտիկայի ենթարկած անհատները։ Էմոցիաներով, ցանկություններով, երազանքներով առաջնորդվող ազգերը, որպես կանոն, լավ տեղ չեն հասնում։
