Բռնցքամարտի Հայաստանի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Արթուր Գևորգյանը փաստում է' հայ մարզիկների համար բարդ է լինելու Բաքվում 2015 թվականին կայանալիք Եվրոպական խաղերի մասնակցությունը: «Բաքվի խաղերի համար բավականին բարդ է որոշում կայացնելը: Մենք գիտենք, թե ինչ երկրի մասին է խոսքը: Միևնույն ժամանակ, մենք փորձ ունենք նմանատիպ մրցաշարերի և առաջին անգամ չէ, որ գնում ենք Բաքու: Սակայն մեր երեխաների ծնողները հրաժարվում են թողնել իրենց երեխաներին մասնակցելու Բաքվում կայանալիք խաղերին»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ, այս մասին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց Գևորգյանը:
Վերջինիս խոսքով' Բաքվի խաղերի մասնակցության վերջնական որոշման ժամանակ սպորտային աշխարհն ամբողջ կազմով պետք է գա ընդհանուր հայտարարի: «Ես ինքս մարզիկ եմ եղել և գիտեմ' դա ինչ է: Եթե գնանք և արդյունքներ չունենանք, ապա դա այլ հարց է»,-շեշտեց ֆեդերացիայի նախագահը:
«Ես ուզում եմ, որ Օլիմպիական ուղեգիր ձեռք բերած մարզիկները 2016 թվականին անպայման դառնան Օլիմպիական ոսկե մեդալակիր: Ես համոզված եմ' մեր մարզիներից այն մեկը, ով կստանա այդ ուղեգիրը, Օլիմպիական խաղերից կվերադառնա մեդալով: Պետք է հասկանանք, որ Օլիմպիական խաղերը շրջագայություններ չեն»,-ընդգծեց Գևորգյանը:
Առաջին Եվրոպական խաղերը կանցկացվեն Բաքվում 2015 թվականին։ Նման որոշումն ընդունվել էր 2012 թվականին Եվրոպական օլիմպիական կոմիտեի նիստում: Այս խաղերի համար նախատիպ են եղել Համաամերիկյան եւ Ասիական խաղերը: Եվրոպական խաղերի ծրագրում կընդգրկվեն 16 օլիմպիական և 4 ոչ օլիմպիական մարզաձևեր: Բաքվի օգտին քվեարկել էին Եվրոպական օլիմպիական կոմիտեի 38 անդամ, 8-ը դեմ էին արտահայտվել, իսկ 2-ը' ձեռնպահ:
