Իսպանական El Mundo-ն գրում է, որ ռուսական իշխանությունների հետ կապ ունեցող խմբավորումը ԱՄՆ-ում ամիսներ շարունակ նախապատրաստել է ռուսաստանցի ընդդիմադիրներ Իլյա Պոնոմարյովի և Գարի Կասպարովի դեմ հնարավոր մահափորձեր։

Ըստ հրապարակման՝ 2026 թվականի ամռանը ԱՄՆ իշխանությունները Կասպարովին տեղեկացրել են, որ նա դարձել է հնարավոր մահափորձի թիրախ, և Նյու Յորքում նրան առաջին անգամ՝ 2013 թվականից ի վեր, պետական պաշտպանություն են տրամադրել։

Պոնոմարյովի դեմ ծրագիրը, ըստ El Mundo-ի, ավելի առաջադեմ փուլում է եղել։ ԱՄՆ իշխանությունները բացահայտել են հինգ հոգուց բաղկացած խմբավորում, որը, ըստ հետաքննության, զբաղվել է հնարավոր կատարողների հավաքագրմամբ։ Խմբավորման անդամներից մեկը լուսանկարել է Պոնոմարյովի հետ կապված երկու օբյեկտ Վաշինգտոնում։ Լուսանկարների համար առաջարկվել է 1000-1500 դոլար, իսկ սպանության համար՝ 40 հազար դոլար։ Ենթադրյալ կատարողը, սակայն, հրաժարվել է ծրագրից։

Հրապարակման համաձայն՝ խմբավորումը քննարկել է նաև Վիլնյուսում մեկ այլ ընդդիմադիր գործչի սպանությունը։ Նրա անունը չի հրապարակվում։ El Mundo-ն նշում է նաև ռուս ընդդիմադիրներ Իվան Տյուտրինի և Ռուսլան Գաբբասովի նկատմամբ հնարավոր սպառնալիքների մասին։
