Մինչ հանրությունը փորձում է հասկանալ, թե ինչո՞վ է պայմանավորված պարենային գների բարձրացումը, այդ ընթացքում որոշ բիզնեսմեններ են օգտվում առիթից և ժամանակին ներկրված ապրանքը վաճառում աստղաբաշխական թվերով: Պարզվում է, որ ոչ միայն երեւայնան խանութներում, այլ նաեւ Գյումրիում է խայտառակ գնաճ նկատվում, ինչի հետ կապված տեղի բնակիչները հասցրել են հայտնել իրենց անհանգստությունը:
Ըստ շրջանառվող լուրերի` Գյումրիում որոշ խանութներ պարզապես փակվել են, իսկ մնացածներն էլ առեւտուրն իրականացնում են ոչ թե ՀՀ դրամով, այլ՝ դոլարով: Orer.am-ը փորձեց ճշտել, թե իրականում ի՞նչ է կատարվում Գյումրիում` կապ հաստատելով տեղի քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանի հետ: Սակայն բազմաչարչար եւ անօգուտ փորձերից հետո ստիպված եղանք կապվել ալտերնատիվ քաղաքապետարանի հիմնադիր, ինքնահռչակ քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանի հետ.

Թե իրականում ի՞նչ նկատի ունի Վարդան Ղուկասյանն ավանտյուրա ասելով, ապա դա մենք չենք կարող պատկերացնել, չէ՞ որ Գյումրու նախկին, իսկ որոշների համար ներկայիս «լեգենդար» քաղաքապետի նախաձեռնությամբ է ստեղծվել ու գործում, այսպես կոչված, այլընտրանքային քաղաքապետարանը: Բացահայտում չի լինի նաեւ նշել, որ քաղաքի բնակիչները մինչ օրս բաժանված են երկու թեւի` «Վարդանյանական» եւ «Բալասանյանական», իսկ թե ո՞ւր կտանի եւ ինչի՞ կհանգեցնի քաղաքապետերի միջեւ ստեղծված «հակամարտությունը», դա էլ ապագան ցույց կտա: Ի դեպ, ճիշտ ժամանակին հիշելով ներկայիս գլուխգովան քաղաքապետ Բալասանյանին, ով անգամ ալարում է հեռախոսազանգերին պատասխանել, հիշեցնենք, որ իրականում նա քաղաքապետ է, ով մոտ 40 մլն. դրամ արժողությամբ կիսափչացած շատրվաններով ուրախանալուց բացի, պարտավոր է հոգալ տեղի բնակիչների խնդիրները եւ կարգավորել քաղաքում ստեղծված անհասկանալի իրավիճակները: Չնայած մենք էլ նրան ենք հասկանում, միգուցե դոլար-դրամ փոխարժեքի տատանումից Բալասանյանի բիզնեսները «տակ են տվել», դե դա էլ հո քաղաքականություն չի, որ ԲՀԿ-ի PR-ի համար Բալասանյանը Ծառուկյանից փեշով փող ուզի ու անունն էլ դնի բարեգործություն:
