Իրաքի և Սիրիայի զավթած տարածքներում «Իսլամական պետություն՝ խալիֆայություն» հռչակած «Իրաքի և Լևանտի իսլամական պետություն» (ԻԼԻՊ) ահաբեկչական խմբավորման մարտիկները հայտարարել են, որ մահապատժի են ենթարկել 10 օր առաջ Սիրիայի Ռաքքա նահանգում իրենց կողմից ձերբակալված 4 ադրբեջանցիներին: Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է Orer.am-ը՝ հայտնում է ադրբեջանական SalamNews լրատվական գործակալությունը՝ հղում կատարելով ԻԼԻՊ-ի «Դաբիղ» պարբերականին:
Ադրբեջանցի մարտիկները մեղադրվում են դասալքության և իշխանությունը զավթելու փորձի մեջ: Ահաբեկչական կազմակերպությունը հայտարարել է, որ ադրբեջանցիներին պատժել են «շարիաթի օրենքի համաձայն»:
ԻԼԻՊ-ի դեմ դավադրության մասնակից 4 ադրբեջանցիները ձերբակալվել են դեկտեմբերի 20-ին: Նրանց մեղադրել են զինված խռովության փորձի, փախուստի, կազմակերպության անդամների սպանության, ԻԼԻՊ-ի առաջնորդ Աբու Բաքր ալ Բաղդադիին վիրավորելու մեջ:
Երբ խռովարարները հասկացել են, որ իրենց ծրագիրը բացահայտված է, փորձել են փախչել Թուրքիա, սակայն ձերբակալվել են գրոհայինների կողմից:
ԻԼԻՊ-ի «անվտանգության ծառայությունը» համացանցում տեսանյութ է տարածել ձերբակալված ադրբեջանցիների հարցաքննության մասին, որոնք խոստովանել են իրենց մեղքը: Նրանց խոսքով՝ իրենց ջոկատի ղեկավարը Էլվիր անունով ադրբեջանցի գրոհայինն է: Հարցաքննության ժամանակ մեղայական խոստովանությամբ հանդես են եկել Աբուզեր, Աբու Մարյամ, Աբու Յագուբ և Օմար մականունով ադրբեջանցիները:
Ադրբեջանական ԶԼՄ-ներն ավելի վաղ հայտնել էին, որ Սիրիայում ապստամբների կողմից նախագահ Բաշար Ասադի դեմ կռվում են մեծ թվով Ադրբեջանի քաղաքացիներ, իսկ Սիրիայում և Իրաքում ամբողջ պատերազմի ընթացքում ոչնչացվել են 300-ից ավելի ադրբեջանցիներ: 2013 թ. մայիսին Սիրիայում կռվող ադրբեջանցիները հանդես էին եկել հերթական տեսադիմումով, որում հայրենակիցներին կոչ էին արել ջիհադ (պատերազմ՝ հանուն հավատի) կատարել Սիրիայում:
