Ամուլսարը գտնվում է Երևանից 170 կմ հեռավորության վրա՝ Վայոց Ձորի և Սյունիքի սահմանին: Բարձրությունը 2987 մ է։ Կազմված է օլիգոցեն-միոցենի հրաբխային ապարերից։ Լանջերին կան սողանքներ։ Լանդշաֆտը լեռնատափաստանային է, բարձրադիր գոտում՝ լեռնամարգագետնային։ Կա ալունիտի և ոսկու հանքավայր։
Այլազգիները, ոսկի հանելու պատրվակով, ուրան են հանում, որպեսզի դրանից զենք ստանան, իսկ ուրանի հանքը բացելը նշանակում է առանց պատերազմի, առանց ջանք գործադրելու հային սպանել։ Սա ծրագիր է, որն իրականացնում է օտարը։ Ոսկու հանքավայրի շահագործման պատճառով ոչ միայն առաջանում է կաթնասունների, սողունների և բույսերի վերցաման վտանգ, այլ նաև հանքավայրի շահագործման արդյունքում առաջացած կապարը կարող է բացասական ազդեցություն ունենալ՝ ազդելով մարդու նյարդային ու արյունատար համակարգերի վրա և ստեղծել բարձր մահացությունների ֆոն։
Ուրանը մահացու վտանգ է ներկայացնում մարդու համար: Ոսկու հանքաքարը հանում և մշակում են, իսկ մնացածը նետում պոչամբար. այստեղ պետք է հաշվի առնենք կարևորը` Հայաստանը շատ փոքր երկիր է, և առաջացած ռադիոակտիվ թափոնները պահելու տեղ չունենք, իսկ այդ նյութերի վնասակար ազդեցության մասին բոլորս էլ գիտենք․ տեսարանը պարզից էլ պարզ է, իսկ հետևանքն էլ` անխուսափելի։
Ես՝ որպես Վայքի շրջանի Գնդեվազ գյուղի բնակիչ, հաստատում եմ այն միակ ճշմարտությունը, որ մեր գյուղացիները՝ մեծ ու փոքր, երբեք էլ գյուղը լքելու ցանկություն չեն ունեցել: Այդպիսի ցանկություն երբեք ոչ ոք չի հայտնել, հարցրեք ցանկացած մեկին: Գնդեվազցին աշխատասեր է ու երբեք էլ չի զլացել աշխատել, ճիշտ է միշտ էլ դժգոհում է, բայց այդ լացելու բնավորությունը մեր ազգային «պիտակներից» մեկն է, այնպես, ինչպես մեր դրական «պիտակներն» են։ Հենց այս դրականի մասին էլ ուզում եմ շեշտել. գնդեվազցիները հայրենասեր, նվիրված, նահապետական, ավանդապաշտ ժողովուրդ են` պինդ բնավորությամբ: Նրանք իրենց տունը սիրում են:
Հիմա տեսեք՝ ինչ է կատարվում, եկել են ոմանք՝ Լիդիանը ու Գեոթիմը, ովքեր ցանկություն ունեն կոտրել հայ մարդու կարծրատիպը: Մարդկանց առաջարկում են շատ բարձր գներով վաճառել իրենց ունեցվածքը, այսինքն՝ պապերից զավակներին փոխանցած հարուստ հողերը` իրենց ծառերով, բուսականությամբ, օդով, ջրով, հայկական դարավոր հոգով, որն ամուր կանգնած է՝ պաշտպանելու մեզ: Գյուղացին համեստ է, միգուցե «քյասիբությունից» է, որ այնքան էլ գոռոզ չէ, ու համաձայն է նրան , որ իրա տարածքները գնեն և իրեն ճորտի պես աշխատացնեն իր իսկ հողի վրա:
Եվ, ո՞րն է ելքը։ Քոչել օտարի երկիր, դրանց ոտքերը լվանալ, թե՞ օտարը գա մեզ մոտ և նույն ձևով այստեղ մեզ ստորացնի։
Իսկ կարո՞ղ ենք մենք առաջվա պես համեստ ապրել։ Թքած, թե բանան չեն ուտի մեր ճժերը, կամ «Կոլա» չեն խմի ու «հետամնաց» կլինեն: Բայց դե մենք կպահպանվենք․ չենք դառնա ստրուկ, «պուտանկա», դավաճան, չտես և այլն: Սա այն կյանքը չէ, որին մենք առժանի ենք։
