Վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանի և Հայաստանում Եվրոպական միության պատվիրակության ղեկավար Տրայան Հրիսթեայի ներկայությամբ կառավարությունում տեղի է ունեցել Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն-Եվրոպական միություն ֆինանսավորման ութ համաձայնագրերի մեկնարկի արարողությունը: Աջակցության նոր փաթեթը՝ շուրջ 77.5 մլն եվրո (44 մլրդ դրամ), նպատակաուղղված է օժանդակելու Հայաստանի զարգացմանը և բարեփոխումներին: Միջոցառմանը ներկա էին կառավարության անդամներ, ԵՄ անդամ պետությունների դեսպաններ, Հայաստանում հավատարմագրված միջազգային կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչներ, պաշտոնատար այլ անձինք:
Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության ղեկավար Տրայան Հրիսթեան նշել է, որ «Արևելյան գործընկերության» շրջանակում Հայաստանը մեկ շնչի հաշվարկով ԵՄ միջոցների երկրորդ խոշոր շահառուն է: Ութ համաձայնագրերը կոչված են խթանելու առաջընթացը երկկողմ համագործակցության հիմնական ոլորտներում՝ գյուղատնտեսությունից մինչև տարածքային զարգացում, աջակցելու միգրացիային և սահմանների համալիր կառավարմանը, հակակոռուպցիոն և քաղաքացիական ծառայության բարեփոխումներին, ջրամատակարարման բարելավմանը, Երևանի մետրոյի վերակառուցմանը և միջուկային անվտանգությանը:
Տրայան Հրիսթեան նշել է, որ երկու համաձայնագրերով ԵՄ-ն աջակցություն է ցուցաբերում Հայաստանում տնտեսական զարգացմանը՝ նպաստելով աղքատության ընդհանուր կրճատմանը: Այն ներառում է աջակցություն գյուղատնտեսությանը և գյուղական համայնքների զարգացմանը (25 մլն եվրո), ինչը կապահովի գյուղատնտեսության արդյունավետ և կայուն զարգացումը՝ ստեղծելով նոր աշխատատեղեր, աջակցելով ֆերմերների ասոցիացիաներին և կոոպերատիվներին, մատչելի դարձնելով սննդի հասանելիությունը: Ի հավելումն, տարածքային զարգացման ծրագրով (10 մլն եվրո) ԵՄ-ն կաջակցի կոնկրետ նախագծերի (հանրային-մասնավոր համագործակցություն, զբաղվածության ապահովում, աշխատուժի ուսուցում) իրականացմանը՝ Հայաստանի մարզերի տնտեսական զարգացումը խթանելու նպատակով:
Կառավարման ոլորտում ԵՄ-ն այժմ հատուկ ուշադրություն է դարձնում հակակոռուպցիոն և քաղաքացիական ծառայության բարեփոխումների միջոցառումներին (21 մլն եվրո): ԵՄ-ն նաև կաջակցի սահմանների կառավարմանը և միգրացիային (4 մլն եվրո)՝ Հայաստանի և ԵՄ-ի միջև Շարժունակության գործընկերության և մուտքի արտոնագրերի դյուրացման համաձայնագրի շրջանակում:
Մեկ այլ համաձայնագրով կզարգանան քաղաքացիական ծառայողների հմտությունները, կդյուրացվի Հայաստանի մասնակցությունը ԵՄ ծրագրերին (6 մլն եվրո) և կամրապնդվի քաղաքացիական հասարակությունը՝ որպես երկկողմ համագործակցության խթանման և բարեփոխումների մշտադիտարկման գործընթացում կարևոր գործընկեր:
Երկու ծավալուն ենթակառուցվածքային ծրագրեր նույնպես համաձայնեցվել են՝ ուղղված Երևանի բնակիչների առօրյա կյանքի բարելավմանը: Դրանցից մեկը կապահովի Երևանի մետրոյի համակարգի վերանորոգումը (5 մլն եվրո)՝ լուծելով հանրային առողջության և անվտանգության խնդիրները, մյուսը կաջակցի Երևանում ջրամատակարարման ցանցի վերազինմանը (5.5 մլն եվրո)՝ բարելավելով ջրամատակարարման և ջրահեռացման ծառայությունները:
ԵՄ-ն կաջակցի նաև միջուկային անվտանգությանը՝ ռադիոակտիվ թափոնների կառավարման կարողությունների ամրապնդման միջոցով (1մլն եվրո):
Աջակցության այս նոր փաթեթը վերահաստատում է Հայաստանի և Եվրոպական միության՝ երկկողմ համագործակցությունն ամրապնդելու հանձնառությունը:
